PHISH TO PLAY THREE CONCERTS 10.01.08 Phish returns to the stage for three concerts at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Virginia on March 6, 7 and 8, 2009. YEAHHHHHHHHHH IM THERE ALL THREE NIGHTSSS!!!! I KNEW THEY WOULD BE BACK!!! With that little appearance at Rothbury.....time was the only factor.....AND THE TIME IS NOWWWWW BITCHES!
i think theyre overrated a little as songwriters, but they sure as hell did something for hippie music, and are damned good musicians.. i'd really like to go. sounds like a killer party.
WHA!!!Have you seen them live??? Because this music is orchestrated to a story written from Tom Marshall......com on now listen to the funk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOEup0XAOxw
ive seen them live two or three times. they're not bad...music takes a little time to grow on ya though...especially the vocals. props to them for bringing hippie music back but i still say they're overrated. string cheese, umphreys, keller williams, medeski martin and wood > phish.
I never saw Cheese, Umphreys or Keller pull 90,000 people to a Festival that only consisted of one band...and maybe one or two other openers, cheese maybe could've if they sticked together a lil longer, but now we will never know that~Keller can't hardly fill the Riv here in the Chi. But I agree with you on MMW, they are amazing because they are breakthrough with their style of music...and ive seen them many times live and i dont think i was ever once dissapointed in a show they threw down....they are modern day jazz/organ fusion-to me they are innovators of music and thats how I feel about phish....they would just start jamming and let things go.....yes, sometimes things didnt go just right and things wouldnt mesh well....but man when they found that groove....man did it get mad funky and everyone in the crowd would feel it to......and to me that is the essence of Phish.....and we would ride along with them through the good and the bad~ i respect your opinion fully though....respect!
to say umphreys and keller are better than phish is a joke. same with string cheese, but there at least a little comparable.
