I believe it is a fair ascessment of American policy. When America wakes up and realizes that they can not control the world, the world will be a much better place. Continually threatening every one that does think or do as America does only isolates the American cause. They need to wake up and realize that there are other options beside 'the carrot and the stick' mentality. All that shows it that America thinks the rest of the world is an ass. Offer them a carrot that they can never reach and bomb the shit out of them if they don't run like hell chasing the elusive carrot is not a good way to win friends. The other prevalant though of American 'manifest destiny' will lead them down the same road as WWII Germany and the Roman Empire. They will fail in the long run, only by continually pursuing this choice to the bitter end they will end be the oppressed instead of the oppresor. World problems can not be solved by being the world bully. They do have the right to disagree with other countries just like people that the right to disagree with their next door neighbour. Just like a neighbour doesn't have the right to force another to buy and sell with them on a strictly one way deal or kill them if they refuse, nor does America have the right to do the same on the international level. If you have a gun in your house doesn't your next door neighbour have the right to have a gun in their house, even though you may dislike each other. If they use that gun on you or another neighbour than you have the right to use yours on them. Remember that America is the only country in the world to use a nuclear weapon on another yet that they insist only that them and there friends can own them.
Ahmadinejad is a non-issue. The only reason he is even mentioned is because it plays into the agenda of those at the top, who orchestrated their plans for the Middle East a very long time ago. Ahmadinejad (like Osama bin Laden) only exists in the heads of people who have bought into the media's fear campaign. While people are hiding under their beds over someone who is virtually powerless in their ability to reek havoc on the world, they remain oblivious to the fact they're being sold into enslavement by the people they think are their own leaders. So no, Ahmadinejad is not your enemy and neither is bin Laden. Your enemy is the very same people you will come running to once the rug is pulled out from underneath you by those very same people.
Just like Osama the media tries to use this guy as a culprit. And now that osama is dead, they need a new scapegoat.
