Could a 4 string magnetic bracelet worn by me while using my laptop, wipe the computer out? my computer just stopped working and is only a couple months old.The bracelet is new today. never had this problem before .....we have two computers....so i'm on the other one to ask.
completely possible that its gone everything I read says yep....could be. fuck! i am so sad about that.
Has it been dropped or banged around? One possibility is the CPU is overheating. Fixing it may consist of simply cleaning it out and re-seating the heat sink. We call that preventative maintainence. If you junk it, I'll take it. At the least I could re-use or recycle the parts. I hate seeing good, new hardware components thrown away.
never been dropped or banged around. I read a bunch about the CPU overheating. what is happening is this: I turn it on...the VAIO stuff comes up...then the microsoft page saying something is wrong. I click on fix it please....lol it tries for a wee bit then turns off. took the battery out and tried again. still same. how do you reseat the heat sink? we won't junk it.....its only 3 months old. I feel like such a fool.
weird, you might have wiped out the hard drive try putting in the recovery disc. also...what does this magnetic bracelet do to you, as a human? it sounds powerful!
Oh and thank you soooooooooo much for responding. I do want to say that I felt waves of weirdness within before it happened. Sick to my stomach even. don't know what that is about.
got it refurbished....no recovery disc I've been investigating it and people are like, nope, can't wipe out the hard drive. This bracelet is freaking stong. If it pinches your skin it hurts!!!!!!!
uhhhh.....Andy's working on something right now...I don't kow what. Oh, he says he is using the Dell recovery disc from my old computer...just to see. doh thats not gonna work...this system has vista I'm so sad. Ask him, I have been crying. lol. pussy!
well its supposed to help out with pain relief. and balance. I was given it for a birthday gift and its just absolutely gorgeous. Its from Sylvi's mama...and means alot to me that I can be good friends with ANdy's ex. I am on my cycle though and it made me feel really weird. Andy came home and I was acting really strange then he told me his tai chi teacher Sunyata Saraswati says women shouldn't fuck with magnets or chi gungs around this time of month. I am really off balance right now. In really really strange ways. LOL! I lost all of everything and feel so shallow, hallow and empty. weirdness.
Do a bios resset by moving the jumper on your motherboard. This might be tricky with a laptop, unless you have some experience in this kind of stuff. If not just visit a local computer store, they'll fix it in less then a day.//if it isn't fixed yet, ehe. Magnetic stuff won't harm your computer unless you have CRT monitor, magnets distrub the rays being fired at the screen, wich can cause alot of damage.
Edited my previous post. I would suggest going to a computer store anyways, doing a hard bios resset with a laptop is very very tricky.
that will be what I do. I ws just on freak out mode last night because I dont like to mess things up. My sweetie helped me calm down and put everything in perspective.Thank goodness because I was losing it. Not normal for me. do you work on computers?
Wow, I wish you the best of luck! That magnet sounds like something to stay away from during this time.
I have already decided that. I am a really energetic persons and I think it short circuited me too, lol
Its not the bracelet causing your computer problem. The laptop is magnetically shielded for the most part. There's also an EXTREMELY strong little magnet in the hard drive. (I have a collection of them) Your computer problem can be caused by many things. Hard drives can go bad too. I'd try to reseat the memory as well. Wiggle things around a little. Check all connections. Try a recovery disk if the laptop will stay on. You can make one with the other computer. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=windows+recovery+disk&btnG=Google+Search Otherwise, you need to befriend a local geek or bite the bullet and take it to a shop. x
