If the number one healthcare system according to the World Health Org is having this problem then doesn't this futher demonstrate the problems with these types of healthcare systems that many say that America should have? Isn't the French system showing the problems that comes when people don't have to take into account healthcare costs and how this causes them to over consume more services than they actually need?

I'd rather let people die than give them health care. Seems the most humane.

That's the way Republicans talk to each other when they don't think anyone else is listening. :(

    Well...

Anyway,France is going to have to seriously reform it's system or else it may go bankrupt(Michael Moore). I've read where many French citizens are constantly going to doctors to recieve services that they really don't need and that is contributing to their problems as far as costs. This I guess is a good example of how many will over consume something when it's free.

If the United Kingdom is 18th and the United States is 37th would not having a universal health care system not atleast improve the United States health care system by 50%?

The health system in the United States is the least popular of ten systems in affluent democracies.

There is plenty of money in the U.S. economy. We spend as much on our military as the next ten countries combined. If we want to provide everyone in the United States with good health care we can. All we need to do is raise taxes on the rich. Taxes in the United States are lower than in nearly any affluent democracy. This is demonstrated here:

I'am not in a hurry to see the U.S adopt those European systems. I wanna see where those systems are in 8 years when their demographics shift. Many of those systems seem to either have waiting list problems like Canada or deficit issues like France. I see the solution to America's problem as being tied to better market reforms and finding ways to cut waste. I've heard a lot of money could be saved with America's system with electronic medical records for example.
