does anyone know any little exercises that might help improve my singing voice? im soo shy about it and im afraid to even go to a voice coach or sing too loud because people will hear me. anyone know how to boost my confidence in that area? ill appreciate any help. thanks
I hate this problem, just go to a place where you are certain no one will hear you. I did that, trained the voice up a little and now I really don't care who hears me sing It's fun, so I just do it. Once you get over worrying about what people think about your singing, you'll fly
Unfortunately the best advice I can come up with is to suck it up and look for a vocal coach. Not only will he/she give you all the vocal exercises you want, but also much more such as proper breathing and pacing yourself. What's more, you can develop your confidence by singing in front of your coach, who will not laugh at you and instead encourage you. So you might as well muster up the courage to go look for one to coach you. Or you can just do what I did when I was in high school, which was to sing in front of all the other students plus the faculty and endure their teasing for a while. Nothing forces you to learn how to swim like being thrown in the middle of the ocean, if you get my drift. Oh, and I did get better at singing - much better. Whatever you choose just remember: no guts, no glory my friend.
Sing when your hoovering...its drowns you out and you be really loud! I remember living in a flat with paper like walls and i was for some reason singing jackson 5 of all tunes..... and my mate came up and said she actually heard me down the road!! WOW i was paranoid after that! I think you shoud sing your heart out!!
