For the most part I agree. But in this thread it seemed to go from disagreeing to name calling and bad mouthing. Damn near childish.
I used to work in a coffee shop and every time I got an extremely rude customer, I could guess they were American...So I made sure to look at their license plate when they left...I was usually correct... BUT, talking with a southern US friend, we discovered that it is because we get mostly northerners up here...who are rude
Fair enough i only hopped in the end of this thread... even though a week ago i claimed to never do that.
I think I have stated about 10 times in the thread I wasn't stereotyping, neither was my family or friends, and that I wasn't to be taken so seriously. But I get insulted and *really* stereotyped in return. Typical.
I have noticed, at least with the people I have been around, both friends and acquaintances and even strangers, that Americans smoke way way more than the French. I like the French people I have met way more than the Italian people I have met. Maybe I had bad luck with the Italians I have met, but the guys were way to macho for my tastes. The French bakeries are amazing. They like to use butter. And in Brittany, it is salted butter, which the rest of France does not do and they find that weird. But Brittany kicks ass.
Yea I mean during a war.. soldiers.. it's obvious.. But in case you guys didn't know, the French invented soap. Or at least, insisted that it needed to be used. All the best soaps and shampoos are French, and we always smell good cause we have ultra-high beauty standards. Now if you're talking about peasants.. they're everywhere in the world..
France did not bathe maybe hundreds of years ago. People seem to think that France is stuck in the 1600s....kind of dumb really. People uh, evolve..
I'm half Breton. Anyways, Italians hate the French, everyone hates us, cause they're jealous of us!!!!
Thank you. THANK YOU!!!! And that wasn't just France.. it was every European country in the Middle Ages. But people always pick on France.
Don't people actually think the French are really easy going, classy, sophisticated, cultured and have great fashion sense
