Storing Weed?

Hey got a question for you all,

Think about this situation. If someone were to buy eighths and quarters of dank for a month or two and just store them for a long duration of time (lets say 3 months) what should they store them in and will the weed still be good after this time period? Could you just throw the buds in a coffee can or something and keep it for 3 months until using?

 

put them into a glass jar and seal it. put the jar in a cool, light free, relatively most area (to prevent drying out any further)

3 months really isn't that long of a time, though

 

Yea keep it airtight thats the key... You shouldnt lose potency afdter 3 monthes but keep it in a glass jar if possible.. A couple days before you want to smoke it just put a slice of apple or something in the jar/bag to make it a little less dry and you should be good

 

Well, if you are intending to buy to have a stash, you should buy in quantity. Dealers give better prices when you buy in bulk. For example 50 eightd work out to 15/gram whereas 280 O's equals 10/gram. I'd save until I could pull an O if it were me.

But, to answer you original questioin. Weed will dry out, which affects the smoke. There shouldn't be a noticeable loss in potency in 3 months, but it will be a harsher smoke,

The best bet is to pack it in a airtight jar with as little space as possible (don't crush the buds), put it in a dark cool place and leave it. Then, have a small "smoking" jar where you pull out a few grams at a time so you are only opening the big jar infrequently ro best preserve the moisture and smoke.

i usually just use ziploc bags, air seal them and put like 2 slices of orange peel and it's all good, doesn't get dry just nice and moist and sticky

 

what about a pill bottle?

 

those are pretty airtight i would say. but idk how long they can keep your pot.. glass jar is your best bet.

I had some bc bud in an altoids tin and smoked it a year later...was dry as hell but got me high as a motherfucker....we hit buckets and it actually made my buddy pass out and once he woke up he puked in the sink. You can also freeze it which will keep it fresh even longer.

Nah I quit smoking after my parents found a shitload of stems in the toilet that I had forgot to flush. They didn't even care but I thought they did so I just stashed all my shit in a drawer. This was grade 10 and we smoked it in grade 11.

 

i store my weed in mason jars. alot of it is over a year old and it's still just as good as when i first got it.

 

He just pissed cause he found out he has the same hair dresser as whoopi Goldberg

 

I smoke my weed quickly so it isn't stored long :sifone:

I usually just pop it into a big pill bottle though.
