That's how Bush got close enough to take two elections. But I don't even think his answers to questions were as bizarre as hers. She just doesn't even come acrossed as credible or knowledgeable. She's a mom, she's a hunter, she may be governor, but she has no business being in the White House. What is it you think appeals to people her warmongering? Her false patriotism? Most of my neighborhood took their made in China American flags down three years ago.
McCain's VP decision is beginning to look incredibly short-sighted.... If voters aren't taken aback by this interview, then something is wrong.
I have to admit when he first announced his pick, I researched her and I was impressed. But then when I watched the convention and she played the crowd about torture and they cheered and she called for more war and they cheered...she lost me. And now this interview. She makes Hillary look good. Not to mention she welcomed the investigation in the firing of the safety officer in her state, but now she and her husband are refusing to answer their suponeas. Seems they must be hiding something.
Militarism and nationalism go over big in red state America. Those guys love for the United States to beat third world countries into the ground. They only hate the taxes necessary to pay for it. I am disappointed that the Religious Right is not more upset about Palin's pregnant daughter. Both Bristol and her oldest son, Track are teenage hell raisers who party hard with alcohol and drugs. Track has a criminal record for a serious act of vandalism. Bristol's "fiancee," if you even want to call him that is a real "sex machine with all the chicks" who does not want to marry her. I wonder if he has impregnanted any other girls. With the life Bristol lives, I wonder if anyone even knows who the father is. Sarah Palin has had an affair with a business partner of her husband. Clearly, this is not a "Leave it to Beaver," "Ozzie and Harriet" kind of family. Barack Obama has that kind of family.
I'm sorry, but this ^ is quite ignorant and obviously a statement that is fueled by stereotype or learned ignorance. Why dont you go talk to some people in red state America and ask them if they "love for the United States to beat third world counties into the ground." If you need a reason to not vote for Palin, could you try at least a POLITICAL one??? Attacking her family is about as low as you can go, and really isn't going to do anything to sway a voter, unless they are totally oblivious....oh wait *cough cough*....
Said an anonymous source in the National Enquirer. Do you ever do any kind of fact checking before you post? Most of the claims about Palin that some people here post can be disproven in less time than it takes to read the post.
Didn't you watch the convention? I am referring to her quip about the left wanting to read terrorists their rights. http://www.issues2000.org/Archive/2008_GOP_Convention_Homeland_Security.htm
I am glad that the National Enquirer is going after Sarah Palin and her family. Since the election of 1968 the Democrat Party has had trouble communicating with people with double digit IQ's. If the National Enquirer lies about Palin, Barack Obama has plausible deniability. A lot of people will believe the lies. I want the National Enquirer to make Sarah Palin and her daughter look like $10 whores. I have heard that Sarah Palin posed for nude photos. I hope she did. I hope they are hard core. I hope they get posted all over the internet. Republicans lied about John Kerry's war record in Vietnam. Sarah Palin lies about turning down money for the bridge to no where. The only way to beat the Republicans is to get down into the gutter with them and fight just as dirty as they do.
Holding a person without recourse to habeous corpus assumes the person is guilty, and confines that person for an indeterminate time. During that confinement they are the victims of whatever means the current administration chooses to use. And since we paid informants to turn in their neighbors for money we have innocent people not just terrorist held in Guantanemo and other prisons.
but that's a habeas arguement, not a torture arguement, they are two different issues I oppose the current administration's view on both by the way, but i doubt McCain's VP nominee would be advocating torture, he sucks on a lot of issues, torture is not one of them
I agree, but what I heard when she said that was she upheld what we have done in Guantanemo, Abu Ghraib and elsewhere, and that if torture should take place we shouldn't ask questions. Perhaps they should finesse their message.
you might have a point there, i'm glad the repubs have a nominee who at least condemns waterboarding and the like, i read a story the other day about a prisoner literally being crucified to death, never been so disgusted with my government
Well there was amendment #1977 he included in the 2005 DTA of course Bush voided the whole puporse with one signing statement, sigh Then there was the disappointing 2006 DCA then he voted against HR 2082 So not good signs, his rhetoric has been good, id like to see a bill come before him that was straight torture yes or no, instead of these package deals the senate always does where you disagree with 90% of it but 10% bans torture dont know wether to trust his word or not at this point, but he does keep bringing it up on his own One more reason to vote 3rd party, Bob Barr is looking better, which is kind of depressing
I watched the debates, I watched both conventions. I watched the Secretaries of State with ther Challenge for a new president. Yes I heard things wasn't I supposed to?
