I love ginseng, it's my favorite stimulant by far. I love the good quality american grown ginseng that is freshly ground. I take it everyday. 1/8th -1/4th a teaspon a day. I find it just improves everything. Wakes me up, keeps me very happy and in a great state of mind all day, it wears off leaving me feeling very balanced and well rounded, it makes me think clearer, plan things out better, makes me feel more creative. I've been doing this for maybe like 2 years now, maybe a little longer. I sort of just intend to use it my whole life cause I love it so much... Now I'm wondering, has anyone done daily ginseng use for a long time and ever run into any problems? I have no issues with high blood pressure, which seems to be one potential risk. And everything else I've read about it for what it does to the body seems like it'd actually be healthy for me to take it everyday. It almost seems too good to be true. So I'm just wondering, from personal experience, what problems if any have you run into from extended, daily, ginseng usage?
I take a multi vitamin that contains genseng. Been taking it for years. I guess it it's ok. I did read that you should take a break every month for a week or so.
This is a little late... If you are using just ginseng root, that's fine. If it's a supplement, it would depend on its standardization. It's not a true stimulant like guarana or kola nut. Those herbs have caffeine or other stimulants in them.
