I know BEING a hippie is revolutionary, though I believe we should all attempt to further the causes of equality and liberty through a peaceful revolution. Bring back the 60's. It feels like the early 60's, right before everything changed -- most are apathetic, unaware, etc. Instead of only existing, maybe organize? Sorry if I sound stupid or something.. It almost depresses me how much no one near me cares about ANYTHING in the world. The few that say they "care" back up their statement by saying something along the lines of "oh, well.. i recycle". I just have no real contact with people like me.. =[ And sorry if that sounds self-centered. I just want people to care about the earth, their lives, etc. All a lot care about is consumerism and materialism. :[
revolution aint the answer, evolution is what exactly is apeaceful revolution? revolution requires revilting.. and even a peaceful revolt will be met with violence.. if everyone in the counttygot up walked out of work and had a picnic shutting down industries causing financial losses in the billions i guarantee you they will be shovin sgun up your asss marching ya back to work.. even the besrt intended peaceful revolution will fail because they..the ones were revilt against have no issues with using violence to get what they want however.. evolution is the answer. society must evolve beyond the need for power structtureds community cooperation coordination is the seed.. people on your block, in your neighnouthood .. working together to better the community.. communities working together witrh eachoither to betyer the larger area..city state (fuck states and borders to seperate, instead focus on bioregions) varios buiregions working together to better the continental regions (not cintries they must be obsolete as well) and the contonentsl reguions working together to benifit the whole..the earth.. our only home when the communitoes cooperate and coordinate between eachother for the benifit of all, we have evolution of mankind beyondthe need for power strictutresbeyind the need of givernments and imaginary lines in the sand to seperate is..and beyond the need of war..who would we fight if were all on it together? even the yuppies who care more about theyre bmw andd theyre front yard then theydo sbout starving kids in africa care about theyre communities.. where they live and call home.. if u organize the community u live in.. then unite that witjh all surrounding communities toll all communities are 1 unity..one earth.. thgen even the most self absorbed idiot myst recognize the interconnectivity of the whole and care about the starving children in theyre uniyted community of earth remember..community cooperation coordination...combined with community unity.. simple even poeticly simple concepts can cause an evolution of society beyind the needof revolution mitakuye oyasin
A revolution doesn't have to be violent -- the revolution I was anticipating was quite similar to what you were describing. I was thinking more of the cultural revolution of the 1960's. It brought so much awareness of the world and issues that needed to be dealt with: war, poverty, the environment, etc. It would be a beautiful thing if everyone got out of work and had a picnic all together at once. I don't care if death squads come out and tell me to get back to work. "There are a million ways of which I would die for, but not I would kill for" Peace is the way, and if we depend on this evolution our society will continue to spiral towards materialism and consumerism like it has been for years.
Theres no need to bring back the 60's...we can have that same feeling here and now. The sixties are gone , they had their purpose , but theres more of a need for peace and love NOW...so...lets spread that same message TODAY.

Hell yeah I support the revolution all the way, or rather, the evolution. Sure, it might be scary, but its the only thing that's going to change things for the better.
