my grandma was italian and the only words she ever taught me were "tu si pots pitaka."..."you're a stupid pussy." only problem is, i can't find pitaka in an italian dictionary. italian folks: am i spelling this right? do these words exist (maybe they're old slang...she'd be over 90 now if she were alive)?
This is off topic but 'you're a stupid pussy' is the only thing your grandma ever taught you ???? LOL ! Just....lol. :leaving:
no you aren't. this does not appear to be italian and i can't figure out what kind of italian slang or dialect can use the words pots pitaka . this is no news since italian immigrants in the states are known to talk a fucked up version of italian which is hardly intelligible by real italians. but wtf, "pots pitaka"? but the "tu si' " means "you are" and sounds like some dialect from southern italy but it's too little to tell. which part of italy was your grandma from ? also, it's really weird that those words that allegedly mean "youre a stupid pussy" are the only ones that she teached you. jeez.
i'm from a town near venice, and actually in my region "pitocca" means pussy... it's not the only word that expresses the typical female anatomic part of the body, but it can also be.
sweet, that's good to know. i know the spelling! yes! but yeah, my family was from the southern part of italy. as far as my grandma only teaching me that...they were the two phrases that'd make her laugh (she had alzheimers so she kinda had the sense of humor of a little kid). "tu si pots" "you're stupid" would crack her up...not as much as pitocca though. what was really funny was to say "hey nonnie, do the belly dance" and she'd start dancing in her wheel chair. it was pretty funny.
c'รจ anche "patacca" ma lo dicono in emilia. but but... there is a sicilian word like: PACCHIO O SPACCHIO who also means **** ( "costs like a kilogram of spacchio" once said some sicilian rogue i knew, to describe something awfully expensive and he knew what he said because he was a pimp, lol) dont know if it fits ...
