So today I came home and inside the screen door were a box of kitchen matches and a note from my neighbor saying just this "Hello, please do not leave matches outside as my six year old was trying to burn down the bushes. Thanks, Misty"

Okay first of all... I don't even use those matches to smoke (Dan does sometimes) and they were in OUR chair outside our door... as much as I understand a kid trying to burn down bushes... it really irked me. I felt like writing her back saying "Please control your six year old" (that kid is CRAAAZY...always outside acting like a maniac)....

Seriously why is it MY responsible to supervise HER child? It's not my kid. wtf.

Trish, you're not supposed to leave your matches out because the fucking porch monkeys will take off with them in a flash. Don't you know anything?

    Haha times three.

Well they are moving to VA soon anyways... she gave us a couple air beds and I've baby sat her kids before and she's generally nice but this isn't the first time she put some ridiculous note in my door. I mean seriously it's not my fault her six year old is completely ADD and INSANE... maybe she should teach him not to play with matches? You know, like my momma taught me and I didn't when I was a kid (not implying I do now... have better things to play with...anyways...). I'm SOOOO tempted to leave a note back about if you teach your six year old how to behave then you won't have to worry about taking matches from the neighbors cup holders (on chairs)...

It kinda feels like drama though and they're moving but ahhh... I really, really want to.

Yeah it would be fine if the note didn't imply it was your fault.

and yeah i can understand her concern. the bushes are close to the house we share (well, complex) and that kid is crazy but at the same time i feel like offended that someone thinks they can impose rules on what i (or dan) leave outside MY door...ehhh i think ill just drop it since they're moving... but it just seems ridiculous and i was not in the mood... i had ran around for HOURS today in my car picking up and dropping off the same person... got a nice hoodie for it and like 100 dollars worth of drugs, gas in car and food but traffic was a BITCH...some dude tried to run me off the road... falling asleep... then i come home to THAT bs...

so to wrap it up (sum it up).... as much as i understand she just prolly dont want the place burning down, it's her responsibility to teach her children how to behave... and not the neighbors responsibility to be like "omg will a kid find this??!!!"... not my kids... shouldnt be my problem...

yeah. and dan said he'd talk to her and tell her he left them out there cause i KNOW she blames me. but it's like whatever. would just create her getting mad i suppose and sometimes things go on around here that if she felt like being a bitch... woot wooot wooot. yeah seriously. whatever but seriously, would you not be offended if you came home to that?

would i be offended? hell no... i try and make a point of not getting offended if i can help it. I mean if you guys get along generally ok then no point stirring the pot so to speak.

I'd still think "alrighty then, thats bullshit".

Um. her kids 6,she needs to watch her damn kid. If anything I would be pissed her kid was on my property touching my things.
You should leave a note on her door that her kid damaged something of yours (lol your matches) and you would appreciate if she monitors him ,and keeps him away from your stuff.
