I understand the frustration with banks. God knows I have had my own frustrations with them following instructions.

This last mistake cost me time and that is money to me.

There are ways to go on a cash basis but most people are not willing to go through the hoops necessary.

I cannot eliminate banks yet because my customers use them for payments. However I have a little more than necessary for my expenses in my accounts. Anything extra gets pulled out.

Banks are also constantly violating your privacy.

However a larger and larger amount of businesses are using financial companies that act as agents and transfer gold for payment. This is getting more and more common.

I take gold/silver/platinum as payment and more and more people are.

Usually people keep stuffing dollar bills in my pants no matter where I go.

Maybe it's the way I dress.

In England , the banks did penalty charges for many years , but they were always invalid ie unclaimable. But they still chance it.
    Maybe America is the same?

Why don't u id scam the bank manager in revenge? : )

BTW in England if u carry more than 10k around , they try and seize it , claiming you must be a drug dealer.

ok... to those who say well it's your fault for not keeping track of your finances better...

yes. you're totally right, it is my fault. i'm pissed at the bank, because that damn online banking makes it LOOK so easy to keep track of your account without writing everything down. and i get into trouble because i see all this stuff pending, and know i'm putting money in before it clears, but then something like the fucking chevron thing goes through right before all that, and BAM, i'm slammed with overdraw penalties.

this is why i'm going cash whenever possible. there is a lot of wierd financial vibes floating around, and i feel more safe holding on to the precious little money i have, and separating it into different categories it's supposed to be spent on, so i don't spend too much on something.

i'm actually usually really good with my finances. but i've never been this damn poor before. to the point where i can't get the groceries i want, or a treat now and then. gotta get the cheapest, bare minimum amt. of everything to keep us going.

so this is my temporary solution. if i have to send money anywhere, i always use money orders. yes, they cost a little money, but i save money on ordering checks, plus i don't have to worry about whether or not the check has cleared yet. i fucking hate checks. they make no sense to me. :)

anyways, the bank account is there for me to put money into if i want to go back to using my debit card for everything. :) so i'm getting the best of both worlds i guess.

Its the same here in the US. Any amount over $9999.99 you must have a letter from your bank providing proof of its origin and that taxes have been recorded or paid on said amount or you stand a major risk of having it taken from you if its found.

Its all paty of the war on drugs, lol

    Its all half baked bullshit.
People just say they own cash& carries / used car cash businesses.Or just go round with lumps of 9.9k.
Anyone dealing xxxxs knows how to sort it , or doesn't need to give a toss anyway.

It just causes Joe Public hassle instead.

Some of our banks got kept afloat by the drug trade.

Oh yes there is always easy reason to get around any BS law but its there to hassle people and I am sure they have scammed a few bucks here and there (they being the government)

Oh yes or the dreaded them putting a hold on funds for no reason then you get hit with fees for items you wrote checks for ect.

Its easy to loose control of an account if you dont write it all down. I honestly believe they (bank) intentionally let things hang out there in hopes to gain those little fees.

It probably increases the black economy - barter , foreign accts etc

British and American law had the same roots - maybe the charges are bullshit?

exactly. this last time, i was keeping really close track of everything. the chevron thing hadn't even showed up as pending. all my transactions are supposed to show up immediately as pending, and then go through that night at midnight.

well, apparently the chevron suddenly shows up, and three very small, under 20 bucks purchases i made get cleared AFTER they clear the chevron, which automatically clears, despite the fact that it NEVER showed up as pending. therefore i got fucked. i got three overdraw charges, and then a fourth because my monthly car insurance went through, and since they charged me for 3 overdrafts at 35 bucks a pop, i didn't have enough money to cover it, despite the 200 bucks i had put in the bank just for that purpose. it made me very unhappy, and i complained about it. they gave me back 70 bucks out of the 140 that was deducted for the overdrafts... which was really nice of them i have to admit.

but it made me realize that as the economy comes crashing down, the banks are going to get more and more hardcore about trying to fuck you around every turn. so i'm just not gonna give them the chance.

If you really think hard about it the banking empire is nothing more than an industry that the governmemt helped solidify to the people as a needed place. They made sure that you felt the need too to use this industry to a point now that it makes it near impossible to function without it.

If there was no banks what exactly would be missed?? Loans would be among poeple to one another as it still is really you just dont realize you are loaning out your money and your not making the money for doing it.
To send money you could do so in person or thru insured mail.
The government claims to have the ability to insure our accounts yet can they show us proof they have enough in holdings to pay us all up for funds in accounts in the event of a colapse??? Is there enough gold in reserves to cover all the money claimed to be covered by FDIC?? Or is the plan just to print toilet paper and hand it out??
