I had a fucking pedophile try a bunch of shit once I was like 13 at the time and didnt even realise what he was doing Sneaky bastard tried a whole bunch of bullshit and it wasnt until just a few months ago I realised how bad a lot of it was and how lucky I am it didnt go further
I never said my experiance justifies leaving other children uneducated but i feel for this type of information to be taught properly it needs to be from some one that truely cares about the child and the child can trust... and that is rarely a teacher. I will admit that my personal experiances may have left me jaded but aside from what happened to me i havent for the most part noticed particularly healthy vibes from most male teachers i've met... but again that is my experiance.
Yeah some guy use to try picking me up at the train station all the time when i was 16 it sucks but imagine trying to defend yourself when you're 3... not so easy but can be done.
The Kraken So are we talking Perseus here a la Clash of the Titans, Pirates of the Caribbean, or the beast from the Cthulhu Mythos? Hotwater
More hypothetical questions, because i find this thread interesting; If most molesters are often victims of abuse, then the molested statistically have a much higher chance of turning pedo than soemone who is never molested. In the purging society standpoint (where thought crimes are punishable) should the molested be purged in order protect the future children from the increased risk of molestation and continuing the cycle? The year 2005, an 18 year old fucks a 14 year old in Canada, this is legal. An 18 year old fucks a 14 year old in Michigan, this is an underaged sex crime. Are both pedophiles? Does the legal status affect your view of the act? A developmentally delayed 15 year old, repeating the 7th grade for the 3rd time makes out/feels up a 12 year old class mate in his grade. Did the 15 year old molest the 12 year old? Can a 12 year old molest a 12 year old? Can a 35 year old with the mental maturity of a 12 year old molest a 12 year old? Since mental maturity is directly correlated to the child's ability to consent, how do you define the limits of abuse and the relation to age?
it's a little different, but a child's consent is VERY questionable in this case, so 99% of the time i would recommend pretty much the same punishment in either case.
thought crimes don't exist. you can think whatever the fuck you want as far as i'm concerned, plus there's no way to know what anyone is thinking, so yeah, that whole standpoint is sick and should not even be considered. the legal status doesn't mean shit to me. an 18-year-old with a 14-year-old is stretching the limits of what is acceptable, but i don't think i would consider that pedophilia no matter what the law says. now if you subtract 2 years from the younger or add 2 years to the older, i'd say that crosses the line. but again, i still feel that way if it's legal, so what the idiots in congress have to say on the matter really means nothing to me. as for a retarded person. well i don't think 12 and 15 is really bad, no matter how smart or slow the 15-year-old is. now a 35-year-old is different. i don't think it should be punished quite as harshly as a sound-minded 35-year-old who does the same thing, but that is only because the retarded person doesn't fully understand what he is doing. that does not mean it is acceptable by any means; the damage to the child is the same. but instead of killing or putting him in jail for life, i would say to put the retarded person in some sort of a home where he can't access children ever again. and no, i wouldn't say a 12-year-old can molest a fellow 12-year-old, although he could certainly rape her. also the question was brought up at one point why most sexual crimes are committed by men. well there are several reasons, including the nature of men to take what they want and women to just whine about not having it... but then there's also the fact that it's a lot easier for women to get sex if they want it, while at the same time they don't tend to even want it as often.
Is an 18 yr old with a 17 yr old illegal in the usa? i think it varies by state, although i think there is generally a 2-3 year age gap allowance
It wasn't all that long ago in a few southern states that sex with a 13 year old girl was perfectly legal Hotwater
what? the fact that it varies? if that's what you mean then i agree somewhat. it doesn't make perfect sense practically, but i also am all for the states' right to govern themselves without the feds coming in and forcing each state to follow their preferred set of rules.
No, I believe in states governing themselves. Just the fact that it would be illegal for a 17 and 18 to be sexual together.
what about a 13-year-old boy? hell, a few centuries ago girls were normally married by that age. which i think is kind of fucked up, but at the same time i suspect they were forced to mature much faster back then too.
