The elementary school that my three kids go to does the positive enforcement ticket thing as well, except ours are called "paws" tickets because their mascot is a wildcat. That's really awesome that she got 10 of them! Wow! Go Kai!
Congrats to your daughter! I thought my grandson's school was the only one with Dragons as a mascot. I like the name Kai. It's in the running for my upcoming new grandson's name.
I was but snuck off so nobody could find me. Thats why i hide in a small colorado town. I like to call it Mount Hope
this morning she told me to put all her dragon tickets that she'd brought home back in her backpack, because, and i quote, "i'm gonna get one today, and then i'll have ten." sure enough, she did. she also got a prize in her classroom for reading 400 minutes in a month. i don't give her the easy stuff, either. so she won a pizza from dominos AND for her ten dragon tickets, she won a trip to Fort Fun.
The School was never able to Phone Home as we Did Not have a Telephone Instaled until Recently... Ofcourse there is Snail mail...
thats awesome. We didnt have that in school, but they did take the smartest kids and put us in a program that taught us fun educational stuff.. we got special priviliges such as giving out announcement over the loudspeaker, hall monitors, we got to tend and pick vegetables and fruit from the school orchard and got to get out of class to make and sell stuff for fundraisers and decorate the school for recitals and plays. what was fucked up though, it was only me and one other boy who were given special priviliges for "being exceptionally smart", and my 3rd grade year they made us both re take the TAAS because they though we cheated because we got near perfect scores.
we used to get "citizenship awards." i got a lot of those. i was also a reading and math tutor to smaller (and one older) kids in grade school. i'd get to escort my friend to her speech therapy class, run messages, stuff like that.
When I was in elementary school we had a thing called "cardinal cards" and then every friday they'd have a draw and 3 people in the school won. I only won once but I was so happy lol.
In primary school we got golden time on fridays... and merits. s'about it. Secondary school. We still get merits now, it sucks. Now it goes into a raffle... Our head of year was laying on the guilt trip cos most people were embarrassed to get them like that would work.
