Why do ppl act like im doing something wrong?

I dont use wax, just let them do their thing but in my town they're always like you need to twist them add this or that . It's irratating anyone else have that problem? i like my hair just sick of nebby ppl.

 

The same thing keeps happening to me. One girl is like PLEASE JUST LET ME LOOSE WITH A COMB ON YOUR HAIR because she had dreads and constantly backcombed them. People hate that I am not doing it THEIR way. Can't we just leave it to do it's own thing?

do whatever u want to your dreads, just dont wax them thats all. the rest is your own choice. personaly i like to rub mine into my head, thats how i fix the roots if there is too much hair that doesnt want to knot by itslef

noones ever told me what to do with mine execp i man jah levo at a party told me i had to accept jah and my dreads would flourish..oh and ofcourse my mom with her constant you should cut them tremarks


but if anyone tells u that crap give em the truth.. dreads need no rtwisting and over twisting can dammage them rven twist them right off
anfd if u backcomb u should only once sny more can be very dammaging and result in breaking
healthy dreads are dreads left alone
the more u work on them thre weaker theuy become

then ask em how long theyres lasted and tell em u plan on yoiurs lasstling a lifetime

same her guys today this stupid iggnorant girl asked me why my dreads look funny and not all round and perfect, so i ask this girl how are dreads made and she told me beez wax and honey i laughed called her dumb and gave her the enntire background of dreads and how its a spiritual decision for me and i dont belive that dreads should be store bought so she kept rambling on and on about how they looked raggy and nasty so i told her her face was raggy and nasty,smiled and went on about my bussiness i hate ppl like that lol

 

waxand honey? lol u shoulds pinched 1 of her dreads and said yup that sure will get a tin of dirt stuck in it and need to be cut off in 3 years or less and leave it at that

 

yes when ever i meet someone with dreads, they ask what i do then try to tell me i need to do it the wa they did theirs and this usually includes using wax or bees wax or not washing very often or things i disagree with, i usualy try to tell them i go natural and why, but some people are persistant so then i tell them everyone's hair is different and wax doesnt help my hair it just makes it sticky and gross and i tell them i have my routine and its working for me and i like it just as they have/had their routine and they wouldn't change it either.

 

the thing is S.E is that she didnt even have dreads i just asked her for her input on how to get dreads but wat ever i love mi dreads and i gets lots-o-comploments so ill let her live her life with combs and hair strighteners and shit and ill live mine all knotty and care free

happens to me too, once i was at work and a co worker said why dont you twist your dreads, and she reached up to my head as if she wanted to twist one. i stood there looking puzzled for a sec after i jerked back lol

 

did you punch her and scream i dont like people touching my hair!! ? lol i'm a little hii and i just pictured that after i read your post and it seemed so funny. i'm very peacefull and laid back and it takes ALOT to get me mad so it's funny to imagine people punching each other or getting into fights and screaming over little things. i don't know i'm probably tripping out tomorow i will probably read this and be like duhhhh what the hell

 

there is too much hate in this world to hate more.

 

(I think it's good when people doing their own thing. I tried wax too on a single dread just to see if it would work. Learning by trying.)
