my hair?

sorry that picture's a little big. is my hair good for dreads? I asked my brother and he told me that "most white people look bad with dreads" gee, thanks.

anyway, what do you guys think? i've really got nothing else to do with my time, and now that I've finally cut my hair (it was long before) i feel like i can do anything with it

 

yes sweetie i think you would look adorable with dreads! go for it!!!

Actually, they probably won't shrink that much. Most people's really don't, or at least the ones I know that have them.

I think you have lovely hair, and it will look great either way.
Just be careful with the dreads. Make sure you have someone who knows what they are doing help you. Or have them done professionally. Mine started coming out after a few weeks and they looked terrible so I had to take them out.

But good luck if you decide to get them, I'm sure they will look great!

i want them to be short!

 

i kind of unintentionally got dreads. my hair was down to my lower back, but it's been color processed since i was like 12 (a bad experiment with sun-in made it orange and splotchy, like a leopard or something). ever since bonnaroo this year, any time i would get my head wet or sweat then put it up, it would knot like crazy and be a bitch to untangle. i finally just stopped brushing it about a month ago, and it started to get nappy and knot up itself....it's now chinlength and i have hardcore matted dreads. waaayyy shorter. so if you do your dreads technically, and separate them out and form them, it might not get as short. i don't know if that helps you at all---but either way, you're beautiful girl!

 

I saw a little boy at Barnes & Noble last night with the longest dreads. He must have been 8 or 9 and they came down to his waist. I don't think I've ever seen a little one with dreads before. Looked really cool.

Normally I've said that white people don't look good in dreads. But I've seen a few recently that looked great. This little boy look fantastic.

Try it and see if you like the look.

ok bare with me on this one...i know its a guy...and i know he has diffrent color hair than you...but in his before pic he had the same legnth hair as you(his was a little shorter in the front but you get the idea)...so this is sorta what they would look like on you

 

Dread your hair , don't colour it , look after them because you may end up having to shave all your hair off when/if it goes all tangly... just a few thoughts from a friend of mine.

 

no if you color it before you dread it, it is better for your dreads...

That makes sense...did you know what i mean...? she (my friend) had trouble keeping the colour looking good . it looked bloody awful. She did not care for them as she should as she got bored with them.
