The stupidity in the States at times really depresses me. I have to ask, does your family think the same way you do politically? When I was talking to my mom about the election (she brought it up) she actually said to me "well what do you care, you don't live here anymore anyway." The stupidity really astounds me.
No. My family believe the Republicans are God's party, and that the world is 6000 years old and that dinosaur bones are just a test from God to believe in the Bible. I haven't talked to them about politics since I moved (I think they're hoping I "see the light" and move back to "God's Country"), but I'm sure they think Sarah Palin is the greatest thing in American Political History... I don't miss home much.
i get really tired of the "if such and such wins, i'm feeling the country" thing i keep hearing. no offense to anyone who's just joking around about it and such, it's just that, damn, running off when you don't get your way, instead of fighting for your beliefs is weak. i can't stand violent protestors and such, but at least they give a shit.
that's natural, it's a reversion to when you were a baby and your mom's breasts seemed huge. cuddly. yeah, i totally just made that up.
I'm a traditional protestant type-not "born-again"....... ........anyone claiming to be doing "Gods will" when they are in a political/social environment scares the hell out of me!! A persons relationship between themselves and their God should remain personal. If you feel the need to testify, DO IT AT CHURCH, or Mosque Or whatever.. .......I don't like zealots in any form!
I heard that Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon are also threatening to leave the country if McCain wins. I read it on an Internet message board, so it must be true. I just hope this doesn't encourage more people to vote Republican...
it's TERRIBLY tempting. AND, double bonus, should obama be elected, stephen baldwin is leaving the country. if mccain is elected, alec baldwin leaves the country. it's a win/win situation.
So, the reason why we are in a farce of a war is because it is from God's word? She must be fuckin trippin...oh hell no... No offense to the people on the boards from Alaska but, if she is that out of touch with what is really going on here, why the hell is she even going up and trying to talk shit about Obama. Let's be real.
if she was over there and had bullets wizzing by her head.. She wouldnt think to highly of GOD.... I liked the Bitch till she stuck a dick in her mouth, I mean spit out the dick shit on GOD.. FUCK GOD!!! GET GOD OUT OF THE EQUASION.. STUPID ****!!! PICK UP A RIFLE AND GO RUNNNG AROUND SADAR CITY WITH platoon Company E, 407th Supply & Transportation Battalion, yu dumb bitch..
that's not that far from reality, Roffa. Most of the people I know Threatening to leave the country; are well educated, sensible liberals with money!! And the reason they feel like leaving, is a deep feeling of betrayal over the idea that wanting to help the less fortunate, is somehow seen as Anti-American by a significant portion of our population. One case I can think of was Nina Simone. I think She had to leave because she just couldn't take the daily grind of seeing how many people in our society ignore the obvious need to help lift everyone to equality!! And by equality, I simply mean, an equal voice. And maybe food, and shelter for everyone....it's the very least we can do!!
If the McCain/Palin ticket is elected, there's a significant chance that Palin will end up assuming the Presidency - it's happened twice in my lifetime that a VP has taken over from the incumbent, and McCain is not a young man. I really wonder, when people have their pencils poised over the ballot paper and this reality hits them, how many will be able to bring themselves to make that choice?
