So today it seems like a nice day, and I happened to be in Boston. And, to say my last goodbyes to Summer 2008 I slipped off my flips and wandered barefoot all over the park.

It was fun, a couple people commented on my foot jewelry and one guy asked me to pose for a couple pictures.

    I'm gonna miss warm weather.

Depends on where we live. I happen to be in a very definite short summer/long winter climate.

I love winter, but I really just don't know sometimes----

Mr Spruce, are you aware of the meetings that the Maine Coast Solar Bares have each month in winter? They have a regular deal with a motel which closes for the season, but which has an indoor pool in a separate building, along with a big whirlpool tub. It happens down in the southern part of the state--people come up from Boston--and I think you're further north, but you could probably make it once in a while.

i'm going to miss summer, but to be honest i'm pretty psyched for fall! i love the foliage and all the beautiful colors. plus, i live in the berkshires, so my eyes will be happy...until winter. then i'll be cold.

Well you're right. Bostonians are closer to this than I am, but I may check it out. At least no one will say, "Oh my God, he's in his shorts---" or some such

I suffer from SAD, seasonal affective disorder, lack of sunshine depresses me. I hated living up north with its long cold winters. I would start to become depressed right around Labor Day and would last until spring. I guess I'm a summer person.

It still gets cold where I live now, but winters are not as long and it snows in the mountains-where it belongs!

This seems like an appropriate thread to bump right now.
It sucks since i am just finishing up with finals and I am beginning to have some time off and this week looks like there is gonna be nothing but cold rain ahead.

I'd love to take off everything and go skinny dipping right now. But the sky is gray and the leaves are starting to yellow.

I moved to a new area with a publicly designated nude beach and I took a first visit by buying a day parking pass; the very next day I bought a season pass which is good until christmas.

Weather has got warmer these last couple of days, and I am nowhere near a beach. Trust my bad luck.
