Pictures are kinda dark, but you get the idea. I put the end result in the fridge for the night, and I'll take pictures of the butter tomorrow. I used a really easy recipe. 4 sticks of unsalted butter 6 cups of water 1 ounce of weed Bring the water to a boil, add the butter and turn the flame down to a simmer. When the butter is melted, put the ounce of ground herb into the mix. I personally let the mix simmer while stirring it ever 2-4 minutes over about a 2 hour period, but I'm sure you could get away with a little less time then that. After the 2 hours was up, I poured the soup through two screens, a small screen and a large one. Then I pressed the plant material as hard is I could into the screen just to make sure all of the usable material was utilized. Then you just let it sit for like 30 minutes, put it in a container, and stick it in the fridge for a minimum of 4 hours. Like I said, mine will just be chillin in the fridge all night. Peace!
What's the point of putting the water in with the butter? I've made lots of special brownies and I just use butter and weed fried in a pan. However, extra butter is required to make sure the brownies are moist.
I believe water is used so that your mixture isn't burned. Also, instead of the THC and butter evaporating over the time when you let it simmer, the water evaporates instead (for the most part, anyway). And thanks snocbor ^^
I need to make brownies some day, would a 1/4 of dank would work instead of an ounce of regs? (My connects for regs suck a bit)
I find that instead of water to keep the butter from browning to much I add some vegetable oil. Peanut if you have it. It has the highest smoke point.
Corey...I think we should just eat the butter....We would be high as fucking hell. Can't wait to have a brownie though.
