i had two big fig newtons and a sandwich wrap....

honey wheat wrap with hummus, deli turkey, monterrey jack cheese, tomato, red onion, jalapenos, green bell peppers, and a little bit of lettuce.

a whole second one for later when i get the munchies :D

its delicious and not devastating to my health and wellness, like fast food....

^sounds quite tasty! one of these days i need to go to the grocery and get ingredients to make something good....i need to make use of the kitchen in the building across from mine. or the grill....

mmm, grill.....i could make kebabs! just need some lamb, skewers, tomatoes, onion, maybe bell peppers.....and some seasonings...

ugh, this will have to be super occasional. i have to learn to not spend much money on anything. most of my usable funds are accounted for in my meal plan.

don't forget a little oil for the kebabs. they cook better if they have a little marinado or at least oil on them...especially for a beginner.

i've cooked them several times before. yeah, oil does work, but it would be one more ingredient i'd have so little money to use for....and no use for the rest of it when all is said and done

oh! i know. i could wash out an empty pill bottle or something and put it in my pocket.....go to the cafeteria and get some bread and a little bowl of olive oil to dip it in haha

before i eat it, just pour some in the clean bottle and take home to use on the kebabs :D its there for my use, after all....

last time i made skewers i had lamb, beef, several types of bell peppers, and red onions.... all generously seasoned with a rosemary and garlic based dry rub, a little bit of salt, and plenty of olive oil

one of the best meals of my life....also made a huge greek salad, homemade yogurt based garlic dressing for it (atypical, i know, but it was very delicious), hummus with pita bread, and something i can't remember....

    and red red wine :D:D:D

very nice! one of the best things about our cafeteria is the salad bar thats always there. i eat salad at least once every day, and virtually all of my meals are largely comprised of veggies (when i go to the deli line)

actually, our cafeteria actually has a plaque or something hanging up, an award from peta for being one of the most veggy and vegan friendly universities in terms of food offered in residence halls. of course theres plenty of meat to go around, but there are lots of alternatives all the time.

today for lunch i had two blts (hadnt had bacon in a LONG time...only a little on each sandwich though) and a greek salad (essentially...it had green pimento stuffed olives, but it was good enough)
