You should really check that film out Josh.
I would suggest El Topo as well, even more so actually becase I like it the most, but I dont know, it is one of the most uncomfortable movies to watch. Not the whole movie of course, only like 85% it :D

well, I can't speak spanish, so I might not be able to fully appreciate it.

but alright I'll try to check it out.

You should check out "The Nines".
I mean, it isn't a movie that you will remember for the rest of all time, but it's a pretty good movie to just chill out one night and take in.

The Nines? Yea I'll check it.
But best part of El Topo, is the second half, when he gets reborn out of an old Mexican shaman lady. Talk about fucking weird :D
It moves through 4 major phases of the Bible too, so I think you'll definitley appreciate that.

I would like to add to the list there is a Movie called "Grizzly Man" it is a documentary of Timothy Treadwell.

Timothy was passionate wildlife preservationist and a very troubled man.

He lived among the Grizzly bears in Alaska for 13 summers. He was eventually killed by Grizzly bears.

It is kind of strange watching it as you realize he is essentially a dead man.

He kind of reminds me of someone I know;)

    the cremaster
    drawing restraint 9

lot of people can't dig these films
but I find them highly symbolic and fun

i don't even know what's considered indie anymore... somebody told me they consider Boondock Saints independent... is it? anyway, lots of good movies have been mentioned, so ima have to check the others out.

Once was good and i love the theme song. you can get that at blockbuster. it's sort of bittersweet, not weird or creepy.

Will do for sure, although it might take me a few days to get the time to sit down and watch them.

Sounds good to me, thanks for the recommendation. I watched the clip you posted and was intrigued. I am always ready for weird films.

I am downloading this one also :D

Plus the fact is I do not belong in the U.S. anymore. My home is in the Jungle.

They are both really good. I like The Holy Mountain better, I guess because it's weird in a different way, not as violent or as gross than El Topo.

I watched this because my brothers made me. They kept going on and on repeating line after line.

    "That's a big bear"
"Oh isn't that so beautiful, it just came out of her"

I really ended up kinda feeling sorry for Timothy though. Not due to his death, he wouldn't have chosen any other way, but because his sense of reality seemed to lose itself over time. He was absolutely passionate about those animals and I had a lot of respect for that. However, he really comes across like a loon in some parts.
