Do you know anyone who's ever done "too much"?

last night i was at a rave with a friend i hadn't seen in a long time..and she usually knows a lot of people so i think nothing of it when people i've never met come up and start talking to her.
but last night while we were waiting for some other friends to meet up with this random dude came and stood next to us with this huge smile. he talks to her and i'm not paying attention..and they exchange the usual "what are you on?" pleasantries and according to her he said he was only on acid.
so all the sudden he yells "oh shit i drank!...i drank!" and i think he's just bein goofy and loud like most people at parties and just smiled. then he's all "fuck! i forgot about the game! i'm 21! it's my birthday!"
some dude that must have been his friend showed up and it seemed like they were trying to hug over my friend..but it was jerky and bumpy and i pulled her out of it like i thought they were molesting her or something.
so i turn back around and it looks like this dude is practically pulling his friend to the ground..and he's friend's fingers are in his mouth..and i was trippin nuts and it looked to me like he was trying to stuff something in the guy's mouth..but then he's on the floor writhing around and his stomach is contorting and twisting and i'm starting to really freak out cuz here's this dude going crazy on the floor and there's all thsi music around me pounding like no one cares and i'm freakin out thinkin about whether i should call some help for this guy or not. then his friend propped him up and he had this drunken smile and completely closed eyes.


so my question is this...do you really think it was acid? i've never seen anyone go crazy with a head full of acid so i don't know what it would be like but this freaked the fuck out of me watching this shit happen to this dude.

 

Wow, that's crazy! i can definitly believe that he took acid. Some people exaggerate, or get really excited when they take acid though, so that might have been his case. Like maybe he was just overwhelmed by all of the attention, and sort of "snapped". This can happen to a sober person as well, like a nervous breakdown. The guy might have had a lot on his mind at the time, idk

 

lol it's happened! my friend once ate 4 hits and drank a bunch of redbull, he was pumped of course, oh boy did he "snap".

 

well my friend didn't tell me he had said he was on acid until later..i thought he was on e like everyone else always seems to be. i saw him falling to the ground honestly thought he was just being silly. it took me a second to realize something else was going on.
i dunno..that was just scary shit. i hear stories about the massives in california where people o.d. on e and die and the way some of these kids talk about it it's like it doesn't even seem to phase them or bother them at all. the whole time i was watching this guy all that shit was flashing through my head. it was nuts.

I've done worse things on MDMA at raves...

I'm actually incredibly well behaved on LSD, mushrooms and mescaline. MDMA I go fucking crazy.

 

I take it you guys have never seen anyone have a seizure before.

What happened to this guy was obviously a seizure and not someone freaking out on LSD. Maybe he was having a seizure on LSD but you would have to be someone who is prone to seizures as lsd cannot cause seizures unless the person was susceptible to begin with.

The dead giveaway is when the guy was trying to put something in his mouth. People do this, although they shouldn't, to make sure that the person having a seizure does not choke on their tongue.

 

i was thinking about that..because he wanted to take a picture with my friend and it was right after that that he was set off..so i guess the flash on the camera could have done it

 

hmm... maybe it was a seziure, pulsing music, flashing lights, headfull of acid... it could happen.

but really, if you're fucked up and you are hanging out with people getting fucked up, and you see somthing fucked up.... it's not fucked up, it's just the way things are.

to answer the question... i DO know people that have taken "too much" and I am one of them, and so are many of my close friends. it's kind of like a family. If you don't know what i'm getting at, don't worry about it.

 

Not all the time. Drugs, even lsd, can cause seizures in people who've never had them before. I had a bad seizure once over at a friends house. I took adderall earlier that day as usual, but i also drank alot of coffee, then to top it off at the end of the day i smoked some nuggets at a friends house. Next thing i know i'm waking up from a dream laying on his floor with him looking at me completely terrified! Oh, i also pissed my pants. then i immediately woke up and said, "that's never happened to me before." and it never happened again. I think it's because i didn't drink enough water and got dehydrated from all of the drugs.

 

I guess I probably shouldn't have used the word prone. It is possible for someone to have their one and only seizure on acid but that does not mean that the acid caused the seizure. Like some of us know strobe lights can trigger seizures but do not cause seizures and the same would go for an LSD trip. It may have had something to do with triggering the seizure but it did not cause the seizure.

 

A seizure during a psychedelic trip is most likey caused by anxiety. Stress and anxiety (which is stress, really), lower ANYONE"S threshold for a seizure. Anyone can have one, we just have preconditioned threshold levels, when they are lowered, incomes the seizure. Sensory overload, etc. Yes, LSD can cause seizures 3xi, thought it's never happened to me, Ive seen it happen. I've only had seizures on magic mushrooms, and you want to talk about bad fucking trips, until you've gone through that, you may as well just keep your bs to yourself. It feels like being electrocuted, yet you are fully consious, but not only aware, your aware of how your brain is functioning and how your nerves are getting all jacked up while you writhe and jive on the floor. Definitley not fun.
Ive gotten close to seizure during LSD trips, but never all the way. I've had the pins and needles creep up on one extremity and spread out all over my body and linger for hours, but never carry over into full blown shaky electric melt down. Magic mushrooms however have shocked and burned me to the core.
It's not that LSD directly causes the seizure, they only trigger anxiety and lower your threshold, and regardless of your mental stability, anyone is prone to this. And by anybody, I mean everybody. Saying that LSD is not responsible for a seizsure is like saying a gun is not responsible for shooting someone. Of course not, but a tool is a tool and nothing more. You are responsible for your actions. But 99% sings point to, if I hadent eaten mushrooms on those nights, I would not have suffered from agonizing shocks to the soul.

So if anyone can have a seizure and LSD causes seizures then a person who has had hundreds of trips in their life has only increased their chances of having a seizure. I wonder why I've never had a seizure!

Only certain people can have seizures, otherwise they would've taken strobe lights and certain video games off the market a long time ago!

If it makes you feel better to think that everyone has seizures go ahead and believe whatever you want but it also might be a good idea to realize that having a seizure does not make you any less of a person.

I said that everyone is CAPABLE of having a seizure, not that everyone has seizures. You have a brain, you have a threshold which prevents you from having seizures. People who are prone to them have various faults in their wiring which enable seizures frequently.
If someone has enough stress, and their threshold is lowered, a seizure can happen. I do not suffer from them, in fact the only time it's ever happened to me was when I was tripping. Taking psychedelics can increase anxiety no matter how many times you've tripped, and with enough stress, you can go into shock.

 

Actually that is more than likely wrong, and I never said anything to that effect. Other drugs can lead to development of problems which lead to seizures, but I dont believe LSD falls into that category.

 

Yes, I know people who do too much. They are all wacked the fuck out now, lol.

 

i was recently at a friends house with some other people smoking pot all night and one girl spent most of the time upstairs just sitting around not wanting to join us.

Unfortunately, i didnt try talking to her, but it sounded like she was likely having a bad trip of sorts.

sucks if he cant control him self on 4, this summer i had a blast at bonnaroo and rothbury and loved it.
i dont think there is too much, at bonnaroo i had 23 hits of acid, at rothbury had lil more than double, 50 hits in 3 days, 18 the first day,10 sec., 12 the thrid.
leading up to both fesitvals, i had no tolerance built up prior too the first trip. and yes the 18 hits BLASTED ME, but able to act my age, not my shoe size.

all in all, acid is my fav psy
oh and im tripping tonight, cant wait. bikes , bubbles, music, friends, chron, ya , life.

edit: just noticed this is my 2nd post, haven't visited in a while, but a dec long visitor, i like to see what people say and compare with personal experiences. since im trippin tonight i decided to check out what people been talking bout.

 

i personally like if someone attempts to aid me through a bad trip or rough portion. (unless they are tripping as well -especially on shrooms-cuz thats almost worse cuz theyre all over the place)
