Hi all :) Do you think my hair could be dreaded? (with pics)

Dude, seriously. If they are charging fucking FOUR HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS to brush your damn hair (the opposite way; that's basically what backcombing is), then they are basically fucking you up the asshole. Hard.

Therefore, I doubt anyone would pay that much for backcombing. So they probably use products. Products will give you instant results that last for a very short time, get sticky, moldy, smelly, etc. My friend used wax in her dreads and found weed stems in them MONTHS after she got them, once she took them out. Her boyfriend used to throw them at her when she wasn't looking because they'd stick to her hair. She'd also wake up with pillow fuzz all over her hair in the morning. It's disgusting.

Listen to soaringeagle. Let someone else do it for you, for free, or less than $50 (or a smoke up). If not, do it yourself. If all you want are instant, perfect dreads, than dreads probably aren't for you. At least not now.

simple to make em look less messy pull em bach tie em back or wear a hat
a solon wil make a horrible mess from day 1 and make the mess worse and worse while chartgimng you motre and more
they geberaly do what even knotty boy and dreadhewadhq (and we know how big a scam they are) call the salon dread scam
they section the hair and rwist it up into ropes glyes with enrirely too muchg wax (any wax is bad, but salons use a toin) then tell u noy yo washj it for a month leave in the ribber bands for 2 months and come back every week for anoyhjrr 100 dollar twisting glueing secssuionm
meanwhile the rubber bands become gunk melted in tghe wax is so thick the hairs melted and glues into stiff gross candkes that even from far away dong look dreadish because of the sharp checkerboard pattern of expposed scam\lp..
salon dreads are the worse way u can possibly go

your hairs made for natural..
your haurs the jnhatural dread dream..

u coul;d backcomb if u want..u womnt need to

but if u give it a few weeks or so

your hair will do irt for free..far better and quicker then modt of the others here.. even the nicest natural dreads here started from hair not as perfect for it
and youd waste the newr perfect dreading hair by letting a salon fuck oy all up and charghe u that much to do it?

u could have amazing narutal dreads faster then most ppl herre..u could backcomb snd be off to a great start tonight.. or u can waste a tin of money in a failing economy and regret the nmistake forever
