I recently got a chance to see Widespread Panic in Charlotte, and as always they were super rad! For all of you spread heads out there what is your favorite song(s) by them?

I would have to go with Surprise Valley & Disco- such a groovy jam.

Hell yea widespread panic is probably my favorite "jamband" thats touring still. Such a great band, even without mikey. I must admit when they had george on guitar once mikey passed away, their shows decreased in quality, thank goodness they got jimmy herring. The first show I saw was the first show after they fired george, and had sam holt and john keane on guitar, it blew my mind. Since then I've seen them with jimmy a bunch of times, I think 8 or 9, and its always a great time. I really wish I could've saw them with mikey though, I love listening to their old shows and listening to him play guitar. he was subtle but brilliant. Jimmy just shreds insanely and plays like lightning, which I love too. But theres something about mikeys playing that I love, maybe its because his guitar playing shaped the sound of the band. My favorite songs would probably be 1x1, papas home, disco, chilly water, suprise valley ( i think is a cover though) and aint life grand ( I like the studio version more than any live version I've heard, only song I feel this way with panic)

My favorite Widespread Panic is Barstools and Dreamers, I met the guys once backstage and I was so tongue tied I didn't say much...they are so amazing Live!!! Haven't seen them since Michael Houser passed on.
