yeh, but this may be the most conscise preparation I've known.
off thread for a bit, the kracom thing: I've heard from a most reliable source that it compares to an opium elixer. After only scant glances at the google, it seems that kratom most resembles coca leaves and coffee alkaloids in an only a stimulative effect. Any sleep induced euphoric qualities people??

So far I do not like Kratom, and I have tried it a few times. It just ISN'T a good replacement for me :(

I am going to try again later, with a higher dose, but I doubt my view on it will change much.

I'd try the tea again, though, because codeine works wonders for me, so the tea should be mildly effective. :)

Well, I'd definitely give it a shot, man. I may have not taken enough.

I'd also take stalks advice over mine, for now. If he says it can work like an opiate, it probably does.

I know I'm going to try again, but this time I'll order 15x powder.

Stalk, how would you recommend taking 15x btw? Tea or parachute?

From everything I have gathered on Kratom, it is comparable to a low to mid dose of codeine. Considering my tolerance, it would be a waste of time, as I can't get anything from codeine, regardless of the dose.

I would compare Kratom to an opiate about the same way I would compare Kava to a benzo. Don't expect it to be a strong opiate high, but look at it as a relaxing alternative, and you won't be disappointed. You won't be getting any nods from Kratom.

    From the Kratom wikipedia entry:

So there ya go. If you can get off on Codeine, then this could be an amazing alternative, but if you are experienced with opiates, it's not going to be a groundbreaking legal opiate.

Id definitely recommend kratom, its one of my favorite drugs. Id compare it more to hydrocodone, its a more light feeling high, and allows you to do more than sedating ones like codeine. From what Ive heard, kratom is pretty much useless to a heavy opiate addict. Ive definitely noticed a cross tolerance between kratom and OC. I like to think of it like kratom and weed are two sides of the same coin. Nature combined the two best natural drugs, opium and psychedelic mushrooms, and made two plants. One mostly opiate with a psychedelic tinge to it, and one mostly psychedelic, with an opiate tinge. The combination of the two is pretty fantastic.

You consider Codeine more sedating then Hydrocodone?? Hydrocodone is much stronger.

As always, it depends on who you order from, what preperation you order, what strain you order, and your relative tolerance.
The 15x I have ordered several times has always been very consistent in potency. I would compare 3 grams dropped orally to 20mg's Oxycodone. It does resemble coca leaves for the first 20-30 minutes, but the following 4 hours are exactly like oxycodone for me. Again, it depends on the strain. The difference is, with the kratom when you redose, you dont get burned out and lose the euphoria, it remains consistent.
Recently I tried the Full Spectrum liquid extract from a new vendor. 15 drops of it in a glass of water or soda, feels equivelant to 30mg's oxycodone, however with a noticeably longer period of onset, roughly 30 minutes.
This comes down to who is reporting the experience, and people who are claiming that it is more akin to codeine are probably getting either weaker strains, inconsistent potency levels, weak extraction production, or are not taking enough. In every single experience I've had, the similarity between oxycodone was always present. I was a 120+ MsContin/Oxycontin user per day for just around a year, and have used opiates in nearly every present form for 8 years now. I can assure you, if you do it right, the effects will be very pleasant and save you the time and hassle of grinding pods and stomaching that muddy slush drink. Not too mention you wont be failing any drug tests any time soon. Again keep in mind, it is ALL about who you order from, there is plenty of fake/weak product on the market.

Also keep in mind, many of the people reporting experiences on Erwoid are complete morons, and Wikipedia is not a solid source for information that can always be trusted. Do your own real research and make your judgement afterwards.

Interesting, thanks for another opinion. What about someone like myself, who has a tolerance of 200-300mg of oxycodone a day....what Kratom be worth it at all? Would I have to consume like 15 grams to be where I wanted to be? If so, is that even safe to consume that much Kratom?

Also, do you know if Kratom can help with WD's?

I have moderate pain, but it's constant. I have 3 buldged discs, and 2 herniated discs, and that is just in my neck...I have similar problems with my lower back, I just haven't gotten an MRI so I don't know exactly what the problem is.

Unfortunately, before I was in real pain, I used to abuse opiates, so my tolerance for getting pain relief, let alone getting high, is much higher then others.

I think I'm gonna give the 15x Kratom a go. If 3 grams can get me feeling like 20mg of oxy, that's pretty good.

For some reason 200mg of codeine works REALLY well for me. I used to CWE that stuff and WOW I got high. The peak that I can achieve from codeine is better than oxycodone. However, oxy's peak lasts much much much longer and is about 90% there anyway. Oxy is still definitely my choice drug.
