ok so in my quest to trip out i decided that i feel like tring some lsa so i ordered 10 grams of mornign glory seeds and ground them into a powder and put them into a pyrex measuring cup and added about 1/4 cup of 70% ethonol and stired them up i placed this in a pot of water and set to low heat to speed up the process. i decided that while i was at it since i had some extra herbs lieing around so i threw in about 2 grams of wormwood and about 1 gram of passion flower i let this sit with ocasional stiring for about an hour. i ran this through a coffee filter and repeated this process 1 more time. at the moment i am evaporating off the alcohol and am going to dilute the solution with water when it gets down to a sludge im not sure what im going to do to make it more palatable probably mix in some honey or something. what do you guys think of this mixture? ill definatly be writing an experence report on this.
theres some things wrong with what you are doing. most importantly is that you are doing a hot extraction which with lsa containing seeds is a big no no. not only does lsa break down easily in heat and plenty easy to extract into cold cold water, any water that is not cold will extract parts from the seeds which may make you sick..... i have tested this with morning glories.. never get sick or have nousea when extracting with fridge temperature water,, but room temperature water... oh god.. god save me... i cant imagine what puky toxins will go into your tea if its been heated..
that wormwood is gonna make for one seriously bitter extract... a cold & dark ethanolic extract of the ground MG seeds (soak overnight in fridge) followed by a cold/dark soak with distilled H20 & the two extract combined should have done the trick... & 1 gram of passioflower won't do much of anything (it usually takes an ounce or so to do anything, & several ounces for a noticable effect...)
ok well i remembered learning a verry valuable lesson several years back after atempting to drink this mixture last night. clorophyl tase like shit. well the beverage was unpalatable and im prety sure that i destroyed most of the alkaloids in the process when the mix got burned so after 1 sip i said to hell with it and dumped it out. ill probably do this again when i have a chance to get some more seeds and i dont feel to lazy to get my gear out and do a real extraction so i can just make some pills. if not ill probably try the cold water extraction and do pure lsa.
