I discovered them recently and I like them a lot. They are also very healthy. http://nutrition.suite101.com/article.cfm/pine_nuts
We had pine nuts when we were in Colorado about 3 years ago. We harvested several quart-sized baggies of them to bring home and enjoyed them over the next several months. I think they're much better fresh than roasted, but you can't find them that way up here. love, mom
fry up some pine nuts in olive oil add fresh basil, some sea salt garlic, and a little marijuana if you want add this to your pasta......... YUM
pine nuts are delicious. unfortunately, my partner is allergic, so i can't use them in my cooking anymore. you can find them all over the place in italy... they grow on the trees and you can just pick them anytime. ahhh... i miss that aspect of living there.
I'm in a pinon area, and the chilie folks usually have some southern CO/ Northern NM pinons by the pound. Time to stock up.
oh I love pine nuts! I eat them on salad or we put jelly on a wheel of bri wrap it in a phylo pastry bake it and then brown the pine nuts in olive oil and dump them over the top! MMMMMMmmmmmm. I think they're a little more healthy on the salad.
We eat them all the time. We always keep some in the freezer. They're great toasted on top of a Caesar salad.
