Yet another thread on losing the will!

Sorry for another thread, as there is so many already!
It seems like so many months down the line, and they just want to grow out more and more, I dont know if I play with them too much, just tonight I was cutting out huge lumps of wax, which my dread lady shoved near the ends, I lost a good 3-4 inches from one, and thats over half on some of them
Everytime I look at the inspiration thread, I just think how mine will never be like that etc, Dont get me wrong, I cant actually imagine myself without dreads now, its really wierd, I just sometimes sort through them and think to myself " after all these months, why have these made so little progress

Surly theres an easier way?
Maybe dunking your ends into a bowl of boiled water and melting it? Then using a towel to squeeeeeeeze it out?
Your bumming about progress you "arnt making"
But alot of that comes from the fact you back comed at first.
Lots of people here will tell you that like 75% of that falls out.
Its not a means to an end its just a begining.
Hang in there.... start taking weekly pics for yourself to see that you ARE indeed making progress...
Maybe make a list for yourself, all the reasons you have them and why you like them?

you got wax in there..dont cut it read the entire wax removal thread the wax removals burried in there with the deep cleanse whicjh is part of the wax removal
when u find the wax removal parts follow those directions
you are doing just fine but ..likre someone pointed oiut

u get instant results (or so you think but its just the illudsion of instant results) and for the 1st few weeks your all proiuud of your so called dreads then u find loose hairs kiise roots loose tips lumps lopps and u frealkkj thinking somethings wrong u waxu crochet u palm rooll hout after hour becomming obbseesive over having perfecty drewads like so n so always comparing your progress to others instead of the simple joy of siotting back domg nothing and watching your hair sdo what it does

get the wax oyt.,.get em clean
do not take weekly pics do not look in mirrors.. take a pic once a month at most..
forget about dread inspirations bre your own inspiration dont compare yours to anyone eklses yours sghould be like nobodies but yours

doint over work them dont worry bout them
they have a mind of theyre own trust that
love em they will soiak up the vibes u give em and return the favor by growing beautigfuly

 

Right there with you on the growing part, sometimes it doestn seem to even move then someone comes up an says hey those have really grown! Dont give up.

 

I'm the same man, but i'm just gonna hang on in there. I think I am just over a month now and have a complete bed head!! I have given up gettin down about my progress now, it will sort out when its ready to, thats how I see it for me personally. Keep the faith dude.

I'm with the majority. Stick it out man. (I love what pypes said!)
Personally I get kick out of just letting go. Letting it happen (or not happen) the way it will. Try to focus on what you're not doing rather than what you are...and how effing good it feels to just be chilled and let go of control in this mad world where everyone wants to control everything. I comfort myself by telling myself no-one ever got the dreads I like without waiting like I'm doing.

Stick at it.

Eagle, you saying that guy, has been growing his hair with no hair cuts, for 18 years, and they only just reach his shoulders? Where does his hair go, his brain!? Thats physically impossible.

Hey Guys
Thanks for your posts, was feeling really tired yesterday, it just got to me!
I have noticed progress on a few today actually!
The wax was so deep, the ends seemed to consist of purely wax, so I couldnt see any other way out
Just to clear up, im not even contemplating cutting off my babies!
The pic in my sig is the best they have ever looked, its not a plea I promise
I already have taken up smoking I get so annoyed to think they were doing fine, and I stupidly let the dread lady put wax in them *mad*
Thanks for your continued support, I have those down days like everyone else, so I should just stop whining

lol i dunno where his hair went i saw hin back in july we were talkin he said vermont was his 1st gathering i told him i started my dresds in vermont and hes like i did too.. and we kindsa laughed about the difference in length
just some ppl's hair grows fast..others slpw

yeah don't give up hope! and i agree with the vibe thing...for the first month or two i was like uhh what are my dreads doin they look like a steaming dog pile...then i just decided to relax and from a relaxed state i was able to see and FEEL good things about my dreads and i began to love them and now they seem awesome to me. i bought wax when i was frustrated but i didn't use it in my hair. i'm trying to figure out what i should use it for because i dont want to be wasteful. any suggestions? i could hang my kids pictures on the fridge with it? shine my car's tires? shiny lip-gloss? play slip and slide in the kitchen?

 

send it back demanding yoyur money back with a note how dare tyou fuck up millions of dreads just to make a proffit with this evil crap and loes

if everyone who ever boufht wax sent vack whsat they didnt use and demanded theyre money back how could they go on selling wax
