haha right, all these people thinking a science experiment is going to end the world. Imagine if the government was one day "well we didn't wanna tell you, but fuck it, there are aliens, in fact the minister of tourism in Ireland is one. They make good food" all kinds of hell that would break loose.

 

I think if the government had info. about aliens they'd be using it to create fear, not hiding it to avoid it.

 

Are you blazed Drone? That makes no sense at all. The fear that instills control for goverments is based on situations which either havent happened yet, or are not real. If people found out suddenly there was aliens all over the place, there could easily be mass chaos and therefor, no control.

You guys are funny. They're colliding particles, meaning even if they were to create a black whole, it's mass would be immeasurably small. I for one, was pretty excited when I heard about the LHC. By the way, anyone on here who lives near Chicago has been living near what was the world's largest particle accelerator, so it's not like we've never done this before.

By the way only tests and such are going on tommorow just so you guyz know.. the real shit is gonna go down October 21st when they actually start using it to accelerate particles

Apparently being sucked into a black hole would divide you into two pieces, then each of those pieces would be divided into two, and so on and so forth until you get down to the sub atomic particles.

 

it successfully fired up for tests this morning, and passed with flying colours from what i heard. (all 27km of track are operating clockwise, counterclockwise tests in progress)

however, the "world-ending" experiments are not for several weeks still.
