so ive been working pt as an admin asst, but my contract is up in like a week and a half with them... had an interview yesteday at 8am and a job offer at like 1030am. regular f/t, sort of a crossover between admin and hr (which i have my bcomm degree in), yay! i win! plus i made borscht last night. mmmmmmm, borscht, so damn good
I'm glad you asked because I had no idea either. Congrats. I am trying to get a real job too. I am work study right now and need a permanent part time position. I only work 15 hours a week now...and that isn't cutting it, esp since my exhusband lost his job so no more child support to take up the slack.
Congrats on the job...and the borscht I have a job lined up as well, I have to go for the manager interview tomorrow, which means the first one went well. also, could you pm me the recipe?
thanks guys! my current p/t office job (summer thing, contract expires soon) was joking about how they cant let me go, they need me, blahblahblah. but, they havent got hte money to pay me silly people its a pretty haphazard recipe when i make it traceroni... boil beets for 40min or so, so thatyou can just pull off the skin and then chop them up. i tend to tak eoff the skin under cold running water because it cools them down after having been boiled, and beet juice stains everythign so doing it in teh sink is awesome. id say, um, 3-4 large beets in a big soup pan, fry up a third pack of bacon or some leftover ham, onions, and minced garlic. add some italian spice, pepper, salt, and lots of dill. dont skimp on the garlic either. when onions are clear and bacon is thoroughly cooked, add in a little flour to soak up the excess oil (itll help thicken the soup up a touch too), stir til thoroughly mixed in with the oil. add in some chopped carrots (and any other veg you might want, i keep it simple with this recipe tho) after a couple minutes of frying with carrots (stirring lots or the flour will burn), add in beets and a bunch of stock and/or water (stock gives it a nice depth of flavour, any kind is good). bring to a boil, cook for a while until it tastes delicious. add more italian, dill, salt and pepper to taste. serve with sour cream for people to stir in and turn their purple soup pink
Are you still going to stick with Blockbuster? Dude, I've been a selling machine lately. Last week I was one of the top sellers in my district, and the week before that I was the top in my store.
yeah, im probably gonna work there just one day a week tho. weve been hiring like mad so there ar elots of new people to take over (2 new hires a couple months ago, already trained, and 3 transfers in form other stores)
I have only had one good beet borcht what other kinds are there, my uncle was mennonite and made like a tomatoey one... Congrats on the job, that sounds great!
