i was wondering if anyone knows whats up on whether or not Yasgur's Farm has been sold yet. From my understanding it has been up for sale for over a year now for $8 million. I have thoroughly searched the internet and have not found any updated information on whether or not the property was bought yet. The Bethel Woods center being built was what i thought to be the first wave of destruction taken to the sacred woodstock grounds. Capitalism can kill modern america's most meaningful landmark, but they wouldn't dare build something like that on an american battlefield or monument. Too bad a 2009 40th reunion will never happen.. For some great history on the Rainbows' fight for the grounds, check out this 6-hour film i found on youtube, Woodstock Nation It is one of the greatest docs ive ever seen and it was apparently made in 89-94 for public access tv when the 20th and 25th reunions were taking place. Its great to see the real efforts that went into trying to preserve the grounds for the people they meant something to.
