do you follow a set of actions that you carry out each time you meditate? do you just sit? or do you focus on things, practice awareness? just interested to hear other peoples techniques and experiences arty:
I do sadhanas of Buddhist deities like Green Tara. That is more working with the mind with sound and energy than just sitting. To begin a sadhana I usually just sit for a few minutes.
I'm a big fan of walking meditation for mindfulness. I sit for my compassion meditations, which are pretty focused. I don't think I could 'just sit' with no focus for very long unless my mood is perfect for it. I'm a bit meditatively-ADD which is why the walking one is my fav, the motion helps me a lot.
Well, I usually just sit and, consentrate to my breathing... But if I am trying something special, with mediating I chance my consentration...
Where? That site just looks like a huge advertisement for something that people can easily get for free. How many people have you duped with this?
My body knows better than anything else - I just sit - And just sitting is both simplest and most challeging,
I usually do a prayer meditation first, to bring out my most positive, compassionate emotions and center myself on what truly matters for a few minutes. Then I sit or lay down (however I feel like doing it), breathe and observe. From mantra to mindfulness, back and forth... a free form of compassion meditation. Most importantly, it makes me feel very, very good, and I bring this feeling to the people that I work and play with.
I usually just sit and, consentrate to my breathing here is the site where i learned to meditate ----> http://meditationforbeginners.org
