A few weeks ago i took part in a meditation session, i was suffering from back pain at the time, there was no specific focus. During the meditiation i envisaged and felt waves of healing energy, I have never done this kind of thing before After the meditation one of the other members mentioned sending out healing energy. Anyone else had any similar experiences, or any other kind of communication with others whilst in a meditative state?
Yeah. Those healing waves do exist. I have actually contact with those only on psychedelics... But it is all how you can contact and be opened for those waves...
It's actually not that you were receiving, creating, or in anyway manifesting healing waves. You were simply open to a tiny part of the infinite bliss that always is, and therefore experienced it as "healing waves," because that it how your mind could compress something beyond thought into thought. A word of advice- Don't be attached to this idea of healing waves in future meditations, because you're ultimately attaching to a memory. Let it go as an interesting experience, and strive only to be in the "now."
By striving to be in the "now", is that how I open myself to the healing waves or bliss? I really would like to know more on this subject. If somebody could explain better that would be great. Thanks!
I'm sure you've heard the phrase "Be here now" or that we can never be anywhere/anytime besides right here and right now. What that means practically speaking is that you should be ignoring the thoughts that your mind is coming up with regarding what happened yesterday or what might happen in a couple of hours. We want to be fully here and now at any given moment with our complete awareness in order to more fully enjoy it. This also keeps us from reacting to situations similar to those we've encountered before. We can then mindfully choose how to handle some situation rather than getting angry or upset in some way because we are in control. Meditation helps guide us to that place where we can just be. It starts out as 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes at night (for example) but as we put more effort into it, it becomes our normal mode. Love, bliss, control, intention, awareness, increased consciousness, and a higher personal vibrational frequency are all things that become more common as our practice moves along and deepens. Here's a link to scientific studies about the beneficial effects of meditation: http://noetic.org/research/medbiblio/index.htm Oops, left out the "healing waves" part. Healing has more to do with energy than anything else. There are many sources of energy available to us. You must understand that we consist of our physical body as well as other bodies (astral, causal, mental, etheric, etc.) that are not as discernible for us. When your physical body ails, it is almost always because of a lack of energy in one of our non-physical bodies. You can invite healing energy into your body and open your chakras to receive it. You can receive healing energy from the wind, the sun, water, other people, the earth, and from those on higher planes of existence than this material plane such as Jesus or Buddha. Consistently breathing deeply (taking full breaths) instead of shallowly is probably the easiest way to increase your energy and improve your health. Yoga postures are also good for stimulating areas of your physical body that normally don't get stimulated and for increasing your overall well-being. The best, most absolute surefire way to increase your well-being is to learn to love yourself. Adjust your thoughts so that you always perceive yourself to be in the highest state of good health. Wish that for yourself frequently.
