I am almost 22 and this is the first time I have lived completely by myself. I have been on my own since 18, but I always lived with friends or a roomie to keep costs down. I found a two bedroom apartment that has really cheap rent and I moved in with my roomie and we became best friends in the year we lived here together. It was great fun because I was only dishing out 175 bucks each month for rent. She just moved out and it was great at first...rearranging things, creating an office out of her old room, etc. Now it is getting harder to be alone here. I am so used to chaos, laughter, noise. Anybody experienced this? What did you do? I am boring myself to death!

no, i've never experienced it, because i've never lived alone. i'm too chicken to. :D

i am a social creature. i need people around me. much to the dismay of my partner, who is a very solitary creature, and very much loved living alone. then i came along

one year was a dorm so there were lots of people around at all times. one year i lived in the apartment everyone hung out in all the time.

otherwise i've lived with my parents, one year with an assortment of boring roommates, and by myself

and with my parents, i had no siblings and there were no other children within about 3 miles

well I do still have my bird "bastard face." he gets really loud sometimes when I sleep in too late. he is happier now that she's gone. they weren't close!

I always liked living alone. Right now I'm living with a girl I had become guardian of back in Jan. 2004 the day after her 16th birthday. Not sure what it will be like once I'm alone again.

I lived alone for a few years right after I moved out of my parents house. I usually had a girl with me at night, but not always. Then when my wife and I seperated a few years back, I lived alone for almost 5 months. Most peaceful time of my life really.

I'd PAY to go back to living alone now

I lived alone for a long, long, loooong time...I've been with my bf for over six years, during the whole time I didn't let him move in with me, sure he stayed a few times but nope, I love my aloneness.. But we moved and have been living together for a year now, and at first it was really really strange because I had lived alone for so long.. But now a year later and it's like normal I guess... But he's never lived alone so I feel that he sort of missed out on the joys of living on your own...

living alone is just beautiful. You can just whip it out and jack it whenever, or wherever you want to. have to shit? shit on the floor. who cares. no one is there to bitch at you

I've never lived alone, always had people around, whether it be my dad, roommates, or my husband/kids. Which is weird, since I'm not much of a social butterfly, I prefer to be alone. I always thought, however, that living alone would be great. I'm sure that after you acclimate, you'll do fine, and maybe prefer to live alone. Good luck, and if you don't like it after a few months, maybe get an other room mate.

    I say enjoy living alone.

    Do not like it?

Find a girlfriend and move her in.

Give it a few months and you will learn the joys of living alone.:D

I used to have a horrible suitemate and it wouldn't have suprised me if she had shit on the floor. I hated her. Bitch never bought toilet paper either. I'm just glad we only shared a bathroom with her. We had to make sure we kept the bathroom door locked because if she found it open things would be missing. The last week of classes we found her door unlocked and got all our stolen shit back from her room. Don't miss her.

Since my latest roomate/best friend moved out not much has changed, other than the silence, but I do always lock the door now. The door is such a piece of crap that I could give it a swift and girly kick and it would most likely fly open, but I lock it now. whatever
