Sustaining yourself and living off the land.

It's a way of life that I want for myself. Thats how I want to live but not how i was raised, and im looking for simplicity and a life among people not colleagues and coworkers and employees. I've heard about these types of communities and they are an ideal to me. I value knowledge but the only work i can understand is with my hands. I think there are some people here who have lived this kind of life and i'd like to know how that came about. If you could just give some advice on what direction a person can take in life to come closer to that way of living i would be grateful.

Be aware that the best communes only work when everyone is willing to work their butts off and compromise for the group. And like all families, they are never perfect. Nothing that groups humans together is ever going to be perfect.

 

If you want to change the world, you can't do it by retreating.
