Have you ever been to Amsterdam? I love this city, my favorite places to visit: Dam Square, Rijksmuseum, Vondelpark, Leidscheplein, Anne Frank House, House of Bols, Rembrandts square. my favorite museum is the house of bols, I really like the concept of this museum (inspiring/fresh/hip). It is an interactive experience into the world of cocktails and bartending. I really can recommend this museum to anyone who is visiting Amsterdam. next to that Dam square is really worth a visit. Overall, Amsterdam is a great city. Enjoy....

Hey, I actually just come back from a 3 week tour of holland, which included 1 entire week in Amsterdam!!! I travelled alone but met loadsa cool ppl, all really relaxed and enjoying themselves. Being a person that likes to organise stuff last minute (like really last minute!) I had quite a bit of trouble finding somewhere to stay, it being the busiest season! yeh i go to amsterdam at least 4 times a year, try to go every 2 months if i can. I use to smoke at home where i live (scotland) like everyday, was going through an ounce of bud a week, and most of the time the bud would be so shit, and when it was good, wud be megga money. so i figured if i go to amsterdam like as often as poss, every 8 weeks or so the money i spend on not smoking at home id spend to go to the dam. It works great gives u a break from smoking and u appriciate the high and the bud a lot more. i love amsterdam, it truly is heaven on earth for me, every time i go it gets better n better, each time i come back after a visit i miss it more and more.
I love the way everybody has the same opinion of amsterdam, that it is heaven, a really relaxed pace of life, once you get used to the amount of bicycles going around, i am just back from a week in amsterdam with my girlfriend, was staying right next to dam square. it is an amazing experience, there is so much to do there, like the artis zoo, van gough museum, and general touristy sight seeing and soaking up the atmosphere after visiting coffee shops. the grasshopper was the best one to smoke normal mixed joints in, but we spent most of the smoking time sitting outside rick's cafe by the canal. its really worth saving the pot smoking strictly for amsterdam. ended up having to throw weed away, bought northern lights and orange bud, and didnt wanna risk getting arrested at the airport, the armed police didnt look too friendly. does anybody know if the scanners at schiphol airport can see the soles of your feet? i wasnt asked to take my trainers off so i am wondering if the scanner can see that level with the ground.
The only X-ray is the one your bag goes thru. The thing you step thru is merely a metal detector. It's the friggin dogs you have to watch out for. I've been taken outta line becouse of those friggin dogs just from the smell of my clothes from sitting at a coffeeshop waiting for my time to leave for the train. Best way to get rid of leftovers is to either mail/post it home or find someone who is obviously there for the weed and give it all to them, don't ever just throw it out. You'll make someones day with a nice gift like that.
i bet it made the maid's day when she saw the bag of weed in the hotel room trash bin lol. i never once saw a dog at schiphol, i was expecting themto be at every terminal. which coffee shops have you been to?
