What instrument should I build for class?

We were assigned a fun little project- to build any kind of instrument we want and bring it to class. I've got some clay at home I want to use to make an ocarina, but it's so old, I'm afraid it will be dried out. My current back-up is really lame by comparison: a kazoo made out of wax paper, a rubber band and a toilet paper tube. Anybody got any other ideas in case my clay is unusable?

build your kid a cigar box guitar and dont let him just throw it out. make him practice on it three hours a day every day. he'll thank you later. lol, that's from deep thoughts. anyway, yeah, id say go with the drum. drums are fuckin fun.
