I'm going to try to make it up there for one of their classes in a couple months. I was just wondering what it's like.

I spent 3 days there back in 1978. Great experience. No idea what the modern version is like.

What harm could it do to make a visit? I think you'll have a blast there.

Hey, this is an easy one and nobody has answered. Of course, it's so easy that a few seconds on Google would solve it, but anyway...

The farm has mixed results...been there & it was ok, had a blast, really fine...others..not so good! Let me tell ya if you want a really cool place, check out twin oaks in Va. This is hippyworld done right!! 500 acres, 90 members at last count (july this year) all types of folks, very non judgemental, lookink for new members, one rule, be tolerent and do your 46.3 hrs. of labor weekly....(ok 2 rules). Don't let the interview scare ya...the no drugs clause is for looks only...was there ten minutes before I was spacey for real!! there are all types of folks...it's been there since '68' so they got all the kinks out!! A five star rep. from me...please before anyone makes a commitment on comunal living...check out twin oaks in Va. Just google it...and make your reservations for a three week visit if you like them and they like you...you have a BIG family...............Ol' Wylde Bill

I had a friend who was looking into Twin Oaks...so out of curiousity I did research as well. Sounds dreamy.

    Why aren't you there anymore?

I've done a bit of reading about The Farm on the Internet. It seems like a really nice community. I think that is one of the top ten communities in the country, when you compare the larger communities.

I'm very interested in polyamory, and I think that some other communities may have more polyamorous members than the farm does. I've never been there though, so I could be wrong.
