Get familiar with his true self starting with this simple post. The dirts easy to find america start digging instead of listing to his "speach". Any body can sound good while running for president. Please be awear of his lack of experiance.
Actually, it's quite difficult to sound good while running for president. Everybody is going over every move you make and everything you've ever done, looking for dirt. Be sure to check your "facts". Snopes is a good place to start.
Right now I think Obama is our only chance. Hilary was a joke and thank goodness she's out... McCain is another Bush.... Ron paul is gone.... we really need a liberal in office too.
Think Libertarian. I know the popular concensus is that if you vote Libertarian, you are just voting for or against one of the favored candidates. But that is the problem. We still have enough freedom to make up our own minds who we want to vote for. Everyone needs to do themselves a favor and research all the candidates and what they stand for. Don't trust the media hype. Trust in what you believe in and find the candidate who most represents your beliefs. The two party system needs to be broken.
I'm canadian and i support the green party D) but in american politics, I really think that Obama is the way to go. No one needs another Bush, and also the war needs to end. Peace and love people
I don't think all of obama's proposals will take obviously but it's nice to see someone in the running who is as smart or smarter than me. hillary is more knowledgable and seasoned, but not smarter. Obama's speeches have never been what I base my support for him on. I like him because he realizes we're in the year 2008 and he's more in touch with where things are headed instead of inflaming the past. I like that he's more emotionally reserved, perhaps stemming from his itinerance as a kid. McCain probably has good intentions in mind, but so did bush (and hitler for that matter). Politics can be a pretty stupid game and Obama reminds people that they don't need to wait for superhero politician and they can control their own country and destinies. I find his speeches amazing because I enjoy articulation and rhetoric, but I'm always careful to separate my objective eyes from the "hope-nosis".
They all lack experience of 'being president'. Still, what kind of experience is needed ? Who will assist this country in its changes (and as everything in this world is combined, this applies also for the rest of it) and who will assist to embed it forever in the concrete of its agony ? Who will sell its soul for the sake of keeping up the old patterns, who is willing to see change as a good thing ? As change is coming upon us anyway ... you can feel it, you can smell it in the air, you can hear it in the radio, the birds sing it from the roofs ... but you also just know, and maybe it's a more joyous place than you have realized yet. We all lack experience in some way - but maybe it's more about which kind of experience we want to go for - as people, as individuals, and again as people. And if you are not willing to change, who else will ? Bear with me for my first (and hopefully last) political rant
Start thinking outside of the bogus two party system. Republicans and Dems are like Coke and Pepsi. In a blind folded taste test nobody can tell the difference. If you want real change vote for Cynthia McKinney and support people like Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich.
