you can't really get rid of them once they're there... they will fade though, don't worry. I got them in the same areas when i was about 13-14 and i know they were completely faded by the time i was 16.

They're genetic so there's not much you can do to prevent them, but they say staying well hydrated and moisturized is supposed to help, so drink lots of water, avoid caffeine and use lotion. that's what they suggest in pregnancy books and stuff.

hope this helps :) try not to stress too much, lots of girls get them.

A friend of mine swears that hers nearly disappeared after rubbing Vitamin E oil on them for a few months after her pregnancy. She bought a bottle of the Vitmain E oil capsules at the store, broke them open and rubbed the oil on her skin.

Not a guarantee, but at the very least you'll have soft skin around the stretchmarks!

Stretch marks, or striae, are a form of skin scarring associated with pregnancy, obesity, puberty, and short-term weight gain from bodybuilding and other physical activities. They form when the dermis – the middle layer of the skin that maintains shape and elasticity – is stretched more than it can tolerate. Connective fibers in the skin eventually break, disrupting collagen production and causing scarring. This scarring may be treatable only through stretch mark removal.

Natural stretch mark removal methods include creams, lotions, and a variety of diet and exercise strategies intended to help repair skin. While generally less expensive than invasive techniques, these approaches are also less effective in removing stretch marks. While some natural products may fade stretch marks slightly, laser and surgical techniques are the only effective ways to remove stretch marks completely.

Laser stretch mark removal is a surgical procedure in which a laser is used to remove areas of the skin affected by stretch marks. Once the old, stretched skin is removed, new and unmarred skin grows to replace it. In most cases, a series of treatments is required to completely remove stretch marks. The procedure is very safe with an extremely low incidence of side effects, all of which are temporary and minor.

I hope this helps. It is the only thing I can think of.

Cocoa Butter does NOT work well for me it didnt... it does help them to appear faded right after you put the lotion on but it doesn't diminish them... maybe for someone though..

skin creams like cocoa butter only work if you use them while the skin is stretching, as a preventative. stretch marks work like scars. there's a cream out called "mederma" i think, that's supposed to be good at removing scars. i've heard it works really well on stretch marks as well.

although i have to tell ya, i have stretch marks on my boobs and hips too... i think most girls get them when they grow up, hit puberty, whatever. it's just a way of saying, hey, i'm a woman. they're really just part of who you are, and it's not a big deal. i know it prolly feels like a big deal when you're young and in highschool and whatnot, but honestly, if people are gonna make fun of you for something that stupid, then they really must not like themselves, and they're trying to pretend like their perfect... which let me tell you, is NOT true! no one is perfect, unless they are exactly themselves, which is the only perfect there is. love your body, no matter how it is! easier said than done, i know....

i got mine from being pregant and having a baby, the whole time I was pregnant i drenched myself with cocoa butter, vitamin E oil and lotion, mederma, and green tree oil (helped the itching mostly). and honestly, we all get stretchmarks, and they usually dont go away, and like most ppl said, they fade, and they become who you are, and you just learn to accept them. i cant wear a bikini bottom bathing suit with out being self conscious the whole time, so i wear cute little shorts in the pool.

yes, what she said. When I was pregnant I got stretch marks on the sides of my thighs, one on my ass and a lot on my boobs (because they got from like an A to a D). And believe me, I tried hemp oil, cocoa butter, vitamin B Cream, vegetable oil etc and nothing worked. As Tigerlilly pointed out, it's probably genetics. Because I've been told to use this or that, and I used it constantly like every day of my pregnancy and a bit afterwords, and nothing helped.

Don't mean to be such a downer... I mean, they'll fade through time. You could try all of that stuff, but don't get too upset if they have a hard time working.

    Have a good night,
hope they fade fast for you... :)
