Question for Members 50 years and Older

Tell us please, how has sex changed in your experience over the years?

Are there things young people seem to do now that you didn't do when you were coming up?

If so, are those things you thought about at the time...?

Are there things you read about or see people doing now that seem too much to you? Like a part of you says, that's going too far, I don't think that's good. ?

If you came up in a time that was less sexually permissive, do you think that sometimes had the effect of actually making sex more erotic?

Hahaha Just where do you think the things that go on today came from ? Sex is the same today as it was when I was coming up. did you ever hear of the sexual revolution ? We people 50 and over started it. It's all the same now as then.

Actually, what is being asked are the differences when we were growing up, something I have referred to many times to the younguns on this board. True we were part of the change known as the sexual revolution of the '60s and '70s but we grew up in the repressed '40s and '50s.

Tell us please, how has sex changed in your experience over the years?

Sex has remained the same - attitudes toward it have changed. Ppl were always doing the same things, only we did it in the road in the '70s and my parents snuck around doing it. And, I grew up in that repressed, dishonest atmosphere, with no sex ed, no mention of sex and common sexual practices were considered perverted and actually against the law.

Are there things young people seem to do now that you didn't do when you were coming up?

Well, if you are to believe the kids posting on this board they do everything I didn't do as a kid. I didn't have sex with another person until 19. I discovered masturbation with a friend but no one discussed it openly and I snuck around with this new, nasty secret. Porn was non-existent except for purloined Playboy magazines, which showed only womens breasts and didn't even show pubic hair until 1969.

So, yeah, these lucky little bastards got all sorts of fun that I didn't have - and it was likely our backlash of the Sexual Revolution that made it possible. Do we veterans get any recognition or medal or sumtin'?

If so, are those things you thought about at the time...?

Even my thoughts could not conceive of what kids have access to now on the Internet. I would liked to have seen the Playmate without the sheet or whatever covering her hoochie. I woulda liked to see exactly what that thing looked like beyond the hair. Oh, I finally got to see that clinical line drawing at about 16 but never a real girl or foto. (Well, there was the time playing doctor with my 11-year-old cousin, but I was 9 and didn't have a clue what I was doing down there)

NO. We were repressed. Enligtenment and knowledge are not going too far.

Hard to say. When we finally broke loose, we did everything and everyone. We tried those things we were told were perversions. Cunnilingus, fellatio, analingus, whatever felt good we did it. Sex was not doing the missionary position for procreation only, it was a shared experience with another or a group.

This is so funny! Nothing in porn shocks me! I think I can safely say that Ive experienced just about everything that Ive seen. If I didnt it was because I didnt want to, not because I never heard of it!

For us females................the availablility of birth control took away the fear of "getting caught" We could do it and not worry about getting pregnant............which was a shameful thing when I was a kid.

 

I have a really close friend that is over 53 and we talk about these things regularly.

The thing is that he says, that sex only improves with age. Why?

Because, when guys are young they finish to quick, they do not spend too much time on the foreplay and other things that women really need. But with age everything changes.

Older men need more time to get "hard", they spend more time on foreplay, they like to arouse themselves first mentaly and only later physically.

So the older you get, the better sex gets too.

And talking about weird stuff.. Boy does he love some weird shit, that even for my it's like: "Huh?! You did what?!"
