goin to a psytrance festival and wanna do acid and mdma and seperate nights if i do mdma the 1st will it make the lsd less good on the 2nd?

 

Psytrance hmmm, I would say hit both at the same time (budget permitting of course). Otherwise, if mandy doesn't make you feel like a soggy dog blanket on the comedown it wouldn't really matter which you had first. There is absolutely no cross tolerance.

 

Take the acid, wait 45 minutes to an hour, then take the MDMA. It'll have both peaks line up and you'll be spun the fuck out all night.

 

I found taking 2 hits of acid about 5-6 hours after bombing half a gram of mdma was a pretty good trip. With that much md you trip a bit anyway and the acid just adds to it all.

and you're definitely on about waveform if you're from swindon! I'm going really looking forward to it!!

 

First... I would recommend music that doesn't repeat every 4 or 8 beats.

Molly on night one and drops on the second. Combined would be better.

 

Second... I would advise actually listening to and even researching PsyTrance (and it's various subgenres) before making such a bang out and innaccurate evaluation. You obviously haven't heard PsyTrance music before.
PsyTrance isn't Trance.
Look for artists like Electrypnose, Kindzadza, Samadhi and Fungus Funk, Space Buddha, OverTonez, Phatmatix, Toast3d, Gappeq, etc..
then come back and tell me what you find.
Repetition will be the last word on the list.
I mean, what other music contains interwining rhythms consisting of the most innovative sound effects and pulsating beats and basslines that are mapped out with extreme precision..?
It's a type of music that encourages visions of rapidly progressing but highly sophisticated mind manifesting imagery with fractal movements through, er, ''jellyfish eyes''.. altogether forming a concious awareness of the waves from inner space that will spark and play on refined auditory perception - like the crystal clear crackles forming deluxe inner vibrations that'll have you juggling neurons and twisting the game.
It is not your regular 4-8 beat repetition. It is much more complex, much more intelligently produced, there's so much going on with polyrhythmic textures and grooves and overtones that pretty much tell a story.
So don't judge this genre when you blatantly obviously don't understand it, let alone actually listened to it.

Which psytrance fest are you off to man? I've got one planned in UltraViolet on September the 6th in Fort Perch Rock, New Brighton. I'd advise taking your sidney after you've had a good few hours out of the Molly. Works for me.. even better if you have a DJ that'll make his way through a range of various chilled out psychedelic tunes (like Shpongle, Hallucinogen, Eat Static, Bluetech) before gradually working his way up to some full-on (dancey and melodic) psytrance like Vibe Tribe and Toast3d, and eventually peaking at messy forms of DARK psytrance with grated techniques working it's way up to 160-170bpm (Kindzadza, Highko, Electrypnose, Digitalist, Gappeq, Baphomet Engine) - altogether bringing a sequence to the night which inevitably has a huge impact on the people partying.. whether they are concious of it or not.

A friend (and psytrance producer/resident DJ psionic_entity) just got back from Boom! Festival in Portugal, apparently went down a storm..
You familiar with any other British psytrance events like the Fatmoon Parties, UltraViolet, Alien Resonance, Psilocybe Tribe, Sunrise, Soma Sonic or the Shamania Festival???

 

i've heard of shamania but not the others i've known about psytrance for a while but havent been to a psytrance rave yet, this is gona be my 1st and my 1st time doin acid, gonna be wicked

But then again, it's your call...
You should come home loving PsyTrance about 6x more than you do now though lol...

I think you'll be set. The audio distortion with LSD is fucking incredible. It makes the visuals spin out of control, and trance helps a lot. Music practically kicks up my trip to a whole nother noch if its there.

And I could only imagine with XtC on top..

Manticore.. it's not that I WOULDN'T recommend, I said I'm not sure if I would. I said that on the basis of you never having done it before, and it being your first psyrave.

Personally speaking, I'd probably familiarise myself with this alien, mystical wonder drug prior to even thinking about taking it in an unknown location with a load of unfamiliar faces. I'd teach myself what a trip is first and experience the full ride from start to finish. I guess I'd do this for fear of both my initial reaction to the substance, and something negative happening in the exterior World that could throw the trip into an intensely dark one.

But like I said - it's your call and I only speak for myself.

The last thing I'd ever want to do, especially in a rave, is be put off or scared by the way of the acid due to a lack of knowledge and/or experience.

..even more so if it was my first psy rave/party.

Fuck it.. take about 3-4 good trips of acid.. mdma after about an hour and a half.. and youll never want to come back to the real world.
