I'm seriously considering ignoring this forum from now on. For those who are unaware, there was a time when some very good discussions went on in this forum, and it was frequented by quite a few intelligent people with interesting things to say. But now, it's gone to complete shit. Most all of the aforementioned intelligent people have already left this forum because, sadly, it's now much easier to have a serious discussion in the Politics forum. All the threads we get here now are either a) someone trying to bait people into an argument, or b) total bullshit (new age fairy tales, Sign Related's incomprehensible "theories", etc). The former always turn into ego wars between self-righteous "conspiracy theorists" and "anti-conspiracy theorists". The latter get few if any posts, and what posts they get are of little or no value; they just take up space. There used to be threads in this forum that ran to about 20 pages of actual discussion of that subject. The only threads that come close to that length now are just back and forth bickering between people who always have to have the last word, whilst chiding their opponents about having to have the last word. This will never accomplish anything, and it will never end. People constantly making condescending comments, calling each other "kid", etc. And the "conspiracy theorists" have been just as guilty as anyone in this regard. I have been guilty of it myself, I admit. But this is just getting ridiculous. Someone has to grow the fuck up and just stop playing this game, before this forum goes to total shit.
My first clue was the Woodstock was a hoax thread. Not that I knew it wasn't a slam thread on anyone who believes or is open to the idea of conspiricies - but it's gone on for pages now and it's all nonsense. Don't we have a joke forum for joke posts? Because that's all it was - last time I checked, and that was about 1.5 pages into it. I've been here a bit over a year, and there's always been heated debates between the believers/non believers and that's ok. They were as you said for the most part constructive and thought provoking. It's seriously degenerated in here. Doesn't this forum have a moderator? It would be nice to have complete nonsense threads locked or deleted all-together.
Well it seems like here it's me against the world. Since everyone who visits here look for new conspiracy theories, and along I come, and anti-CT ruining everything. lol. oops.
Have you considered the possibility that everyone on Hipforums (including the moderators) have conspired against you, and the discussion diminished for the express purpose of driving you away? Hotwater
