Once I got into the Gunslinger series by Stephen King, I was pleasantly surprised, it was unlike his other work, leaning more toward fantasy. Am currently on book 4, wizard and glass. and thus far it has been a good read.
The Saga of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin is great. I haven't read much fantasy otherwise.. except for Neil Gaiman. I just started his graphic novel series Sandman.. which is turning out to be really, really good.
