I’m sure everyone has seen the signs for “$5 Psychic Readings” in their town or while traveling elsewhere. What I wanted to discuss here were your thoughts on using psychics for more than just personal entertainment, more specifically in police and detective work. There’s been documented cases in the past where police haven’t been able to solve a crime, at which point they turn to a psychic for help. What I find the most interesting is when the psychics they hire actually solve the case. What are your thoughts on this? What about using psychics to help solve some of the current investigations (such as the Peterson or Hacking trials?) I’m not an expert myself on the topic, but I’ve been learning a bit more from a new show on Court TV called Psychic Detectives. It’s on Wednesday’s at 9:30pm in case you want to watch it too. ~ Marysol
Yah....everyone can, as long as you can astral project, which ain't that hard. But they astral project too fast, nobody can do that right in the sitting (I think) unless they're extremely gifted (most TV people are phonies, the ones who actually DO stuff like that aren't on TV.).However, the future can be changed through freewill if they know about what's gonna happen, therefore faith can be changed.
honestly, i do think they are right, but not how they think they are. sometimes, i think psychics can predict based upon the evidence that you & i would overlook normally. its like focusing in on the details that others would miss, like in MONK. he can explain what happens in cases based upon some minute piece of evidence that no one else notices. if he wanted to, he could have pretended he was psychic to get the attention, etc. no one else saw what he did, so how could they doubt his methods? that is my theory & it may not be right. maybe they really do believe in their powers but that doesnt make it so. the human mind is amazing & maybe they have convinced themselves they are psychics just like some hypocondriacs can "make" themselves sick. any other thoughts? peace & love kim
mmmm, yeah, i don't think i really believe in it. my mum had two readings done, and both had alot of things that related to her life, but then on the other hand stuff that didn't. apparently, one day, i'm gunna be something with a uniform (cop, military, firefighter) which is just not me, because for one i'm not a conformist to something like that, and two...because i hate uniforms. i just don't see it, and i dunno. i think they just ask really general questions and then your anticipation to have your future read, makes you jump to conclusions and relate your story to some question that could pretty much relate to anyone.
~I believe there ARE people who are so very sensitive to vibes in Life. It's like car salesman,ya got your good ones...an' then you got all those others with their hand in your wallet.~Silvia Browne,to me,is superb!
I have had precognitive dreams, which are dreams that I did not know at the time were showing me events yet to occur, but when they happened, they were EXACT. In my whole life, I have had maybe six or so. I have thought about how this is possible, and my only solution is that time is an illusion. The only reality is the present, the past and future do not exist outside of the present, in other words, everything is now. Marianne Williamson said it well. " God exists in eternity, and the only point where eternity meets time is in the present. The present is the only time there is." How else can I accept these dreams I have had? I see no other solution, other than I am loony, which I likely am, but still, the dreams happened.
I'd like to see one predict the lottery number. If they can't predict something as simple as a number, how can they predict things as complicated as human life?
