A new life at college

Well I just moved to college a couple of days ago, and im not so sure this is for me. I am having a tough time meeting people, i mean i usually don't have a hard time meeting new people, and i shouldnt judge, but most of the people i have met seem preppy or ignorant. I have been looking for chill people to hang out and smoke with, but I havent met anybody yet. I know ill find people but it frustrates me that i havent met anyone yet. Yeah, my neighbors are nice and everything but im pretty sure they dont toke. I havent smoked in four days and I am going crazy. Well classes begin tomorrow so hopefully I meet some cool people. Wish me luck.

Yeah you gotta just give it some time, eventually you will fall in with the people you want to meet.

 

College will be the best years of your life! If played correctly. Anyway wait till classes start and meet people that way. Your not the only new one. All the freshmen are new.

 

at least you live in the dorms and socialize with the kids more.

I commuted to college but I still met some people so hang in there.

 

I started today too...only know a few people there that I went to highschool with. We will see how things play out, I live off campus too but that's because there is literally nothing to do around the res but go to mcdonalds or tim hortons. At least living at home I can bus or walk to bars (while the weather is sitll nice). This dude that was in 2 of my classes saw my 'Elysia' t-shirt and started talking to me about metal and I found out he blazes so at least there are fellow tokers around.

 

youve only been there a couple of days....it takes a bit more time than that to find your niche....but you will

 

dont worry you will meet plenty of people, i freaked out too when I got to college, didnt have anyone to smoke with and couldnt score. Took two weeks but finally found some chill people. Make sure you always go to class and keep up with your work, very important, I partied to hard and Im going into my 5th year at college and now living back with the parents with no car, worst decision of my life! play hard but work hard also

 

Does your school have a students for sensible drug policy chapter (or something of the like)? There might be a few stoners in that group :sifone:

 

Just give it some time. I'm sure anyone you come in contact with at least has some friends who smoke, so you can meet people through other people and have a new circle of stoner friends in no time.

I just moved in last week and thought it was going to be horrible.

Quick Tip: Wear a tie dye Dead shirt around campus and you'll get asked to smoke. I didn't know anyone where I'm going and I already found 3 dealers, 5 groups of people who smoke and girls! College is awesome!

 

March of Meanies, if you don't mind me asking, where do you go to school? in Philly?

 

Actually East Stroudsburg, I thought it was going to be nothing but mountain folk but apparently since there's so little to do everyone just parties every night

 

I always just end up socialising with whoever I sit next to on the first day.

 

nice nice, I'm about an hour and a half from there. and of courrrrrrrseeee everyone parties. that's what college is about

I wish I was actually AWAY at school instead of going to community college. oh well.

 

just do your own thing, youll find the hippies soon enough. dont be too eager to meet people, most people u meet are assholes anyways.
