thanks alot man! this is so valuable information! i am really interested and willing to be a part of a comunitie. i have some handicaps, though. i have zero, or close to zero money (very dificult to save money here) and im not sure i have any special skills. still i m all for hard work and learning new stuff, so please keep in touch. in the meantime i am gonna look into the link u sent me. again thank u, this can be a real turnpoint.
I bought a piece of land in Portugal with identical intentions. This was about 10 years ago. Since then the area where the land is located has been designated as "ecological reserve" and there is nothing I can do on it. I am not even allowed to walk along the same route all the time as that will make a path. Relevant local legislation needs to be looked onto very carefully, communal living is not common in Portugal, at least not legally. If more than one "formal" family settles on the land designated as "single residential", they are doing it illegally. If I am wrong, I would be more than grateful to be corrected and directed to authoritative source of information, as this may deside my future. So, thanks in advance.
I did a lot of research last year and have come to Transylvania. The locals have been organic farming in small communities for centuries, It is deliciously old fashioned in many ways round here. Pony & cart / plough is normal round here. Pure water comes from the well in the garden. human waste is recycled. The climate is great for growing - and people, everywhere you see free rang chickens, free range cows, free range children, a very healthy natural lifestyle in the small villages. I looked at Portugal, the soil is more arid, the climate not so good, the prices are sky high compared to here. You are welcome to come over and have a look around, astralmonkey ( & anyone else who might want to join the commune can contact also)
Hello, are you still looking for people to join the commune? I would really interested, my name is Stefy and had other experience of community life. please let me know. thanks
Hi I'm gathering people ,skills and cooperation, to create a food forest in Europe . I have sourced 12 acres of deciduous forest as our permaculture canvas . To share this there would be an exchange of living space/cabin/home within the forest community for the 5-10 years required for it to develop . My hope is this suits open minded , spiritual and compassionate individuals who want to live in balance with nature, to let tech help us not lead us .
