Oh cool. I went to Dubrovnik this summer, but only for a weekend. Beautiful, but very expensive. So your man better be rich !!!!

yesterday I just got back from Croatia and I'm still sad it's over...

I've never heard anyone going to an Eastern European country like Croatia for vacation. But whatever floats yer boat, I guess.

 

Ugh. I guess I am dumb because I just read that Croatia is the 18th most popular tourist destination in the world.

Why?

 

If course you've never heard of it, cause you're American. but many Europeans (Italians, Germans, Czechs, Polish, Slovakians etc) go there for vacation and it's ok, cause Croatia (coast) is very beautiful and Dubrovnik is incredibly interesting.

This is a town called Podgora, that's where we spent most of our vacation

 

It looks nice. I wouldn't mind going there. There is a lot of history there, too. I am sure it's better than the usual "trendy" vacation spots.

 

well this is very trendy as well (at least for Czechs, Germans and Slovakians). (I'm not sure what you consider trendy )

 

I got the same reaction a few times, tis okay.

Croatia is supposed to be beautiful. I think a lot of celebrities party there in fact.

I actually want to go to Latvia and Estonia as those two countries are steeped in history. And Turkey really attracts me too, something like 60% of all archeology digs in the world occur there. Hungry seems cool too.

 

sound pretty cool btw, where are you from? Just out of curiosity who thought going to croatia for vacation is weird

my dream-home is Prague, capital city of the Czech rep., which is like 50 km far from my home, so..

 

I really dont get it...Most people dont know anything about this country, yet they think its weird to come here on a vacation.

BTW, I'm glad you had fun. I've been to Dubrovnik this year too, but only for a weekend and it was beautiful
