Sea salt, do I leave it on?

So after scrubbing (mind you I am the former candlehead preparing for a huge wax removal process this week), I decided to pour water with sea salt in it over my head and through the length of my dreads. I did not wash it out. I just let it dry that way. Are you supposed to maybe make a spray to spray the salt water on? Or is what I did okay? How often should I do salt? I know I should probably just wait and not do anything until I get this godforsaken wax out, but I just wanted to do something to help.

I spray the sea salt and lemon juice mixture on. And generally try to keep it away from my scalp as it can go a bit flakey. I also tend to do it once a week or maybe even once a fortnight and leave it in for a few hours then wash it out. Everyone has different opinions and ways of doin the sea salt spray(and many other things!), this is just how I do it and its working well for me so far.
I would also maybe say its best if you can do a few more deep cleanse's to rid yaself of the wax and then go for the lock accelerator!

I keep it on for 15 minutes maximum usually, I dont want the salt to dry there and be everywhere on my head, it already happened when I let it dry I had salt everywhere on my head and its not too good for the scalp if you keep it for long I guess.

Yea most people say between 15-30 mins but I didn't really have any probs with it bein in longer. Just made sure I gave it a good bronners wash afterwards! I also keep the spray away from my scalp when I do it.

your scalp might be screamin' and your ph balance off after all you'll need to do with your hair to get the wax out. I would leave well enough alone and give your dreads and scalp time to heal/adjust before dryin them out some with salt. That's my opinion anyway.
